A question to President Kiir : How did Dr John Garang Defeat Riek Machar in the 1990s?

April 25, 2015 (SSB) — Food for thought: ‘’There is NO Rebel movement that defeats a legitimate Government unless there is a weak leadership’’.
In 1991 , Riek Machar staged theoretical coup against Dr John Garang at Nasir in Upper Nile while John Garang was at Torit in Eastern Equatoria . In his hallucination, he sent his forces to go and arrested John Garang .
On their way to Torit , they started killing any living things from Duk , Twic , Bor. Within weeks of Riek forces marching to Torit , thousands of civilians were killed- a bloodbath.
After bloodbath in Duk , Twic , Bor and Mangalla , John Garang understood that Riek is rabid dog and his murderous acts would not be underestimate under any normal circumstances ,
Thus , John Garang resolutely decided to deal with Riek militarily . Dr John Garang authorized military action against Riek , so SPLA Mainstream attacked Riek forces at Magalla , they defeated Riek forces , SPLA Mainstream swept Riek forces through Bor , Twic and Duk until they returned to Nasir .
The war between SPLA Mainstream and Riek Stream continued for 4 years from 1991 to 1994 until Riek accepted defeat and he ran to Khartoum .
After defeat, Dr Riek Machar realized the legitimate demand and rights of all South Sudanese so he called Dr John Garang to make peace him . Dr John Garang said , he had no problem with him . He told Riek to reconcile first with those who he killed . The people who Riek killed were Dinka and Nuer , so Riek organized Nuer and Dinka to reconcile and indeed they made peace at Wunlit Conference At Wunlit Conference , it was community to community peace process , there were no observers and there were no protocols .
After Wunlit Conference , Riek reported himself to John Garang , he apologized to Garang ,then Garang reinstated him into the SPLM/A in 2002 .
Back to my original question to President Kiir . How did John Garang defeat Dr Riek Machar ?
Garang defeated by virulent force
It is up to President Kiir to revisit history, to find out what theories, methods and practical did John Garang use to defeat Dr Riek ? , what virulent force needed to crush the rabid dog Riek Machar .
It is up to President Kiir to stop endless negotiation and first weaken Riek militarily as it is said; there is rebel that can defeat legitimate leader unless the leader is weak. Look, fighting has been taking place in Damascus for 6 months but because Assad is strong, he defeated the rebels. Look in neighbouring Sudan . what is the fate of Darfur rebels now ?
It is up to president Kiir to” give war a chance for at least 5 years” and rabid dog Riek will accept peace. Riek does not know the legitimate rights of others, he claims to be the only person who have a legitimate right.
Even if peace is signed now , you will see fighting again in Juba , the day Riek will arrive there .
South Sudanese peace must come like in Wunlit way . SPLM/A IO peace with Government do not need mediators, because in Wunlit , there were no mediators , it does not observers because in Wunlit , there were no observers .. It does not need protocols, there were no protocols .
it must be people to people peace .
President Kiir must revisit how John Garang dealt with Riek . Period .
