June 28, 2015 (SSB)  —  With Gold and Silver you can earn it. Education is the greatest gift owns parents gave us. With it we can earn gold and silver and even make lots of it if we can. With Gold and Silver, thieves can get it from us in whatever means even takes on life. With education, we have it as our very own treasure and no one can get it from us unless we shares it with others people.

One of the most famous quotation elaborates that silver and gold have apparently more worth than education but they decreases when you give them to others while with of education increases when you give it to others. Some people believe that gold and silver is given to those who have luck while education can be achieved by anyone who has determination and the ability to hard work. This reality should be understood by all of us because through silver and gold we cannot purchase good education but through education we can get silver and gold at one point of life.

What about you argument as a young man or a young woman from Republic of South Sudan.

I, Ter Manyang Gatwech, as a young man from Republic of South Sudan it makes more sense that education is better than silver and gold because if you are smart enough you can make your own silver and gold and have the ability to keep it as well. I would rather be intelligent rich, especially if I do not earn them.

Let me tells the meaning of education and importance to President Salva Kiir  because he fail totally  to built schools in the period of ten years in South Sudan.

Education is the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the power of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.  Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, and habit of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. But President Salva Kiir is busy recruiting children into army in order they will protect him, because he does not understand the importance of education yet his children are not in the country, are in aboard  and therefore, I call upon all South Sudanese to remove Kiir from Power. A person who denies your education please mark that person as your emery for good. President Kiir denies a millions of South Sudanese children for over period of ten years in South Sudan.

Education frequently takes place under the guidance of others, but may also be autodidact. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels may be considered educational. Education is commonly divided into stages such as preschool, primary school, secondary school and then college, university or apprenticeship.

A right to education has been recognized by some government. A part from the government of South Sudan. At the global level, Article 13 of the United Nations’ 1966 International Covenant  On Education, Social and Cultural  Rights recognizes the right of every one to an education.

Here are six reasons why education is extremely important:

 Overcoming Superstitions

Superstitions are baseless, useless and may affect your life negatively. Illiterate and uneducated people often tend to hold certain superstitious beliefs.  Education and awareness are the best ways to combat superstitions and replace such beliefs with reason and logic.

 Keeping up with the world

We live in an ever changing world. New technologies keep coming up and if you don’t want to be left behind, you must keep up with the world which is moving really fast. Without education it will be really difficult for you to adapt to all these changes. An educated person is much more aware of the latest technologies and all the changes that are taking place in the world. For example, an uneducated person may not know about the benefits of the internet whereas an educated person uses this gift of technology regularly for work as well as for entertainment.

 Education and healthcare

Illiteracy often breeds ignorance and this ignorance may prove to be dangerous when it comes to healthcare. Educated people know better about preventive methods which protect them from a number of diseases. An illiterate and ignorant person is more likely to ignore the symptoms and avoids seeking medical aid unless the problem becomes very serious. Hence education enables you to take better care of yourself as well as your family.

 Respect

Everybody likes a wise and knowledgeable person! Educated people are considered highly reputable in the society. The more educated you are, the more respect you will get from those around you.

Helps you understand the world we live in

Education   is what you need if you want an answer to your ‘what’ and ‘how’ and ‘where’. It helps you understand the world you live in. You get to know more about your surroundings as well as the whole world through subjects like history, geography, science etc.

Makes the world a safer and more peaceful place

Education majorly affects our understanding of the difference between right and wrong. An educated person is well aware of the consequences of wrong/illegal actions and he is less likely to get influenced and do something which is not legally/morally right. Also, a  number of uneducated people who live a poverty stricken life owning to lack of opportunities often turn to illegal ways such as theft and robbery to solve their problems. If you are educated, you are well aware of your rights, the law and your responsibilities towards the society. Hence, education is an important factor that contributes in social harmony and peace.
