To His Excellency General Salva Kiir Mayardit; the President of the Republic of South Sudan
Through the Ambassador in the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Washington D.C. U.S.A
August 21, 2015 (SSB) — We in the office of Aweil Youth Association in the United States of America (AYA-USA) want to take this opportunity to thank and to congratulate our President of the Republic of South Sudan His Excellency General Salva Kiir Mayardit for the courageous action that he has taken on August 17, 2015 for refusing to sign a bad and sellout peace that would have give our country away to the foreigners and which would have created more problems and more innocent deaths in our country. sir, we want to let you know that we the AYA-USA have faith in you and we trust you that you will be able to bring us a peace that would not divide our country and the peace that would make us a one country, one people in which all our tribes in South Sudan will be one people who love each other No matter what have happened in the past. We also want to let you know that we are going to be with you in whatever decision you are going to take because we know from your past records that whatever decision you are going to take will be what is good for us all as South Sudanese just like you have done it multiple times before our independent till today. Your people have No doubt in you Sir and we want you to hear that from us all as South Sudanese people.
The peace paper that Dr. Riek Machar and Pagan Amum have signed on August 17, 2015 would not bring any peace to South Sudan and instead, it would have divided our country into multiple tribes if you have also signed and it would have resulted into more destructions and loss of innocent lives tomorrow. Therefore, it is your responsibility Sir not to let that happen in our country because these are the tribes who have voted for you with more than 93% because they trusted you to protect them in the times like this from the wolves and the people who care only for their seats in Juba. Sir, don’t let our brothers from Nuers, Dinkas, Murles, Anyuaks, Mabans, and many other tribes in the greater Upper Nile region be eaten alive by the wolves in your present by allowing these wolves to deceive you in the name of peace that would not last a second. For example, giving 40% of the Greater Upper Nile region to the Rebels is like you have allowed those people to be eaten by the wolves while you are watching.
We also rejected any peace that would maintain two separate armies in our country because we have voted for you for more than 93% to be our commander in chief and our President and any other command will not be acceptable. Moreover, any peace that would maintain two armies in one nation is not a real peace, but it is a timeout for preparation of another destructions and loss of lives of the innocent people in South Sudan because the reason that let us into this position in the first place is because Dr. Riek Machar want to be President of South Sudan by any means and if given a separate armies, he is still going to pursuit his first intention.
Finally, we want you Sir to end the system of rebellion in our country and we think that you would be able to do that by not signing any peace that would divide the country between your government and the rebels and would make other people keep doing the same thing over and over and would not allow any development to take place in our country.
