October 7, 2015 (SSB)  —  Many believe Riek Machar as a powerful public figure in Africa but things changed rapidly when he paid a visit to Washington DC on September 30th, 2015. One of his delegates made an embarrassing phone call from New York where Riek Machar just held a sideline meeting alongside South Sudanese Vice President, H.E. James Wani Igga with other world leaders during the United Nations General Assembly in late September 2015.

There were rumors circulating on the social media outlets that South Sudanese Vice President was poorly welcomed and that Riek Machar was an icon during the arrival at the UNGA in New York. Well folks, those rumors boiled down to realities when one of his delegates contacted one of the South Sudanese in Washington D.C. area requesting the transportation for Riek Machar and his delegation from the airport.

The transportation was arranged through transportation Services Company owned and operated by unnamed South Sudanese gentleman who elected to remain anonymous for his family security reason.

This gentleman came close in contact with the man who is responsible for thousands of South Sudanese lives… a guy who is responsible for the brutal rape of women, killing of children and child soldier for his political agenda. He picked up Riek Machar Teny and his delegation including Taban Deng Gai, Ezikiel Garkuot, Alfred Lado Gore and other officials on the morning of September 30th, 2015 at approximately 10:30am Eastern time.

The unnamed South Sudanese gave Riek Machar a ride to the capitol building with his own business vehicle. He had a heated one-on-one conversation with Riek Machar while some of his delegates remained silent. Riek Machar quickly offered the unnamed South Sudanese gentleman some sort of assistance and with no hesitation this unnamed gentleman turned it down.

Riek and his delegates were dropped off at the capitol building then went to Russell building—senate building (I was there few months ago meeting with the United States Senators) and it is suspected that Riek was looking to build friendship/relationship with the U.S. Senators. One of Riek’s delegates then contacted the transportation gentleman and told him that Riek is at the train station and will catch the train to his hotel dismissing the transportation services previously arranged.

Now one has to wonder why Riek canceled his transportation with a South Sudanese fellow. You can answer this question however you like but the reason behind such call might be because of the heated exchanges in the vehicle.

Nevertheless, Riek Machar has no friends in the government of the United States nor other countries resided in the DC area. Diplomats are usually given warm welcome and get picked up at the airport as they arrive. Regular diplomats do not call for taxi services when they arrived in DC metropolitan area. South Sudanese VP, James Wani Igga did not call for a taxi when he visited DC.

Let the truth be told here; Riek is a lone wolf desperate to do whatever it takes to gain fame. He is just a guy who can call for a taxi transportation. Realities hit when Riek visited Washington DC. He quickly contacted Nuer community in Omaha, Nebraska to make him feels someone important and held a meeting exclusively.

He knows that he is guilty of the horrific crimes he knowingly committed against South Sudanese civilians in 1991 and 2013.
