President Kiir sacks the Bank Governor and Supreme Court’s President

Juba– UNT) The president of the new Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, on Monday sacked the governor of the Bank of South Sudan and the President of the Supreme Court of South Sudan.

The president confirmed their deputies as new bosses of the financial institution and the highest office of judiciary, respectively.

Kiir in the presidential decree dismissed Elijah Malok and appointed Kornelio Koryom in his place.

The president also appointed two new deputies to the bank’s governor and they are John Dor Majok and Jamal Abdalla Wani.

The president also appointed Chan Reec Madut as the new president of the Supreme Court of the South Sudan.

Madut, who was the deputy president of the Supreme Court, also served as deputy chairperson of the Southern Sudan Referendum Commission, which conducted the referendum in January this year.
