Parliament Sends Telar Deng Home

Well, it is interesting that the national parliament has rejected Telar’s appointment as Minister for Justice for lack of academic papers. What is making news though is the fact that it is the first time in the short lifespan of South Sudan that anybody has challenged the President, and successfully for that matter. Independence at long last? Time will tell.

Secondly, the other juicy part of this saga is the cited $600M purportedly approved by the President to purchase a piece of land for the National Security Service. But the question is: $600M for a piece of land in Juba City? Really? And…errh.Telar Deng, the prospective Minister for Justice handling funds to do with the national security? How about the minister for National Security? Something fishy here wallahi…..
