Mabioor Garang de Mabioor on SBS Radio PaanLuel Wël 10 years ago In this interesting but very pressing interview; I have asked Mabior Garang Mabior why he decided to join the revolutions against the Government and whether he believes military campaign will bring solution. Mabior was very clear in communicating his ideas by challenging the notion of what is believed to have caused the December Crisis. Mabior Garang de Mabior is the son of the former President of the Government of South Sudan, first Vice President of Sudan, chairman of the SPLM and former commander in chief of the Sudanese People Liberation Movement/Army. Mabior is also a member of the SPLM party and a military officer became at odd with Government since the time the country was on path to the referendum that late became the independence. He was vocal on the direction of the party of which he accused the leading elites to have branched out of the real objectives of serving people. In 2013; Mabior decided to live in self-imposed exile because he fears his own life was in dangerous, numerous attempt and beatings by the security affiliated groups. He believes such tactics were used as tools to intimidate him to silence something that he categorically rejected but went ahead to push for the agenda of reform within the Government. After the December crisis; Mabior decided to join the SPLM in opposition in order to be part of the team negotiating and he decided to support the revolution on the 18 of April 2014.
