March 10, 2015 (SSB) —  At the last sentence of the part one of the above title, the author requested all readers to be ready for part two on whether the author and the readers will approve or disapprove the question regarding the Red Army’s vision and here its continues.

The war of liberation was not an easy battle, however it was strongly led by Black Army/jesh Athuot but was not enough and therefore there was need for Red Army.

The red Army comprises of Koryom battalion’s red Army which was sent to Cuba, a communist highland which opposed to the American capitalist. Their differences led to lack of support by America toward SPLA/M formation in 1983. This category of Red Army members were resettled to Canada in order to fully achieve their vision of thirst for education.

The second red Army in their ten of thousands who settled in Ethiopia were trained militarily to be able to defense themselves in case of any attacks, the older members were dispatched to the frontline as SPLA/M ran out of manpower, this group was named as Majak Agot Atem’s Red Army with most of them fighting in Kurmuk and later on , fought with Riek Machar’s forces in 1991 in Jalle payam of the present day Bor county.

Two years later, after the 20, 000 members of Red Army were fully settled in Ethiopia, the same SPLA/M leadership applied the same approach and mobilized second batch of children in 1989 and were resettled at the Ethiopia border with Sudan at a camp known as Dimo, it continues where another camp was set up within Sudan at Polataka in Eastern Equatoria.

The author was told by one of the teachers that when uprising in Ethiopia started that toppled the government of the communist leader Magistu, Riek machar proposed to late John Garang that the red Army members to be relocated to Eastern Upper nile region but Garang and president Salva Kiir opposed the proposal.

This might have been the work of God not to let the children cross over to an area which later been controlled by Riek machar when defected from SPLA/M, it would have been a disaster if the proposal was approved.

Both Red armies in two Ethiopia camps were converged together and dispatched to the Kenyan border known as kakuma Refugee camp which had become a paradise for all the victims of the wars in Sudan.

The last red Army group was paradoxically named as utensils Red Army, meaning those who left their home areas with their parents and have not put up with any suffering encountered by the above groups of red army.

In kakuma Refugee camp, there was full humanitarian agencies control and SPLA/M leadership did not have upper hand in the management of the Red Army. This helps the Red Army members to join free primary education.

They joined in massive numbers and they slowly relised why they were taken away from their parents.Five years later, the humanitarian resettlement to abroad started with the minors and took three years to take effect.

The author is here nearly approving the title inform of question because when most of the red Amy were settled in USA, Canada, Australia, Norway among others they prioritized education. Remember the dream was that one day SPLA/M will achieve freedom no matter how long it will takes, but will lack Human capital.

Those members of Red Army who went abroad achieved the highest education, for example PhD, master and bachelor degrees in different disciplines.

Whilst those who did not get opportunity to go abroad, got the same education in neighboring countries. This can be attested by number of red army members who are currently occupying the private and public sectors offices at different capacities.

I will not conclude my approval of the question without introducing to the honorable readers what God who initiated the idea has done to the members of Red army.

We are all aware that the SPLA/M movement was headed by Dr. John Garang but remember the spiritual wing of the movement was led by Rtd Bishop Nathaniel Garang Anyieth who almost share the Red army members equally with military leaders.

Bishop Grang spread the good news of Jesus Christ alongside Garang de Mabior who was spreading good news of liberation to the same members.

At this critical time, some of Red army members pray for peace to prevails in South Sudan, most of them had been consecrated as bishops of diocese of Northern Bara el gazal, Diocese of Awenrial in Lake state, Bishop of malek diocese in Bor county, bishop of Athooch in Bor county, bishop of diocese of Kongor in twic east county, bishop of diocese of Duk in Duk county, bishop of Ayod diocese in Ayod county and assistant bishop of diocese of Abyei.

Politically, members of red Army played their cards through intellects which gave them an upper limits to ascent to political climax. For example the state minister for education of Northern Bhara el gazal, Jonglei state city mayor, county commissioners of Bor and Duk counties to name a few are members of the Red Army.

It is a motivational tool to the rest of Red Army cadres to clap and sheer to their colleagues when they address the public during public gathering.

Contrary, the old guards always blame the members of Red Army for not respecting their colleagues who are occupying the constitutional positions.

This quest for power by the red Army members linked to the participation in the ongoing rebellion, some members solely joined and formed unholy alliances with rebels that will spur them to gains constitutional positions should rebels have succeeded in toppling the government, they would have ascent to power like their colleagues who are enjoying legally awarded positions due to their loyalty to the appointing authorities and the aggressiveness to deliver basics to the needy.

The author, therefore approve that the Red Army’s vision has been achieved, but partially. My approval definitely changed the Title, “ HAS THE RED ARMY’S VISION BEEN ACHIEVED?” To the role of Red Army in Sudan and South Sudan’s crisis, featuring lost boys/girls.
