Riek Machar values his life more than the lives of those he mobilize to fight the war of his own gain

October 13, 2015 (SSB) — Riek will be known in history of Sudan and South Sudan as man of trouble, our Late Dr. John Garang de Mabior said in his first defection of 1991 that they will be known in history of our struggle as people who have took us back when we were about to achieve our struggle. Riek in 1991 defect from Garang and declared Nasir faction who fought against the current SPLM/SPLA he again today fighting for chairmanship, in 1991 Riek went and mobilize cleaning army called white army (Jiec bior/Mabior) against the current SPLM/SPLA lead by Dr John and since Garang was a Jaang /Jieng he mobilize his white army to clean Jieng Bor out of Upper Nile but not alone Bor but others Dinka in Upper Nile and Bar El Ghazal were affected by his rebellion.
Riek fought in support of Sudan government to defeat SPLM/SPLA lead by Garang but unsuccessful since those who remain in Garang camp know what let them to the bush, Riek later sign 1997 Khartoum agreement and join the government, all armies went with him to Khartoum and in 2002 he leave for SPLM/SPLA the Garang camp that he was deserted in 1991 because of lack of democracy, freedom, human rights violation etc,. The question should be asked; when he return to the mother SPLM/SPLA did Dr John Garang avoid/follow what make him to disagree in the first place to form his own movement? But since Riek his man of no shame he just return without feeling shame of what he did in the first place but return voluntarily to the movement, what motivated him to return is best known by himself.
The great mistake when he return in 2002 to SPLM/SPLA ,all his fighting forces remain in the hand of government of Sudan until they all find their own way to come to the Movement in 2006 plus. In that scenario Riek is man of his own interest, he just mobilize Nuer for his own gain, they dead in massive defending Riek but he is care less about them.
In the second rebellion that started in 2013 Riek again start power wrangling with Kiir in order to be chairman of SPLM of 1991 he fought against it success, Riek in December plan second coup against Kiir because he has determination either to success politically or fight as he stated in the guardian newspaper the interview facilitated by Simon Tisdall in 4 July 2013.
In his interview with the Guardian, Machar was highly critical of Kiir’s record as president and urged him to step down, thereby avoiding a leadership contest. But he also made plain that he was ready for a fight.
According to that interview Riek was on plan to cause war as he stated, but during fail coup in December 2013, he deny it when ask by the international media that Kiir plan coup for himself, when the interview from the guardian was clear about his plan to get top position in the country. Riek seem to be opportunities because whatever plan in his present and kept for implementation in future, Riek rush in order to grab that chance for his pride.
Because when he defected from Garang, he sees the plan of self-determination was put by Garang as second option after the plan for secularism and united Sudan fail, than people will resort to self-determination through negotiation as it happen in CPA . Secular and united Sudan was use by Garang in order to get support from other Sudanese who were also marginalize like us, that was why Nubian and Blue Nile were supporting Garang’s movement.
Anya-Anya1 was fighting for self-determination, But they didn’t get any support from other Sudanese who were also marginalize, there is no support from other nations because there were people in those nations fighting for the same course one example was Ethiopia, so Anya Anya I did not succeed and that mistake was what promoted Garang to refused the objectives that included self-determination.
Riek plan always are for sabotages, as live example, the issue of federalism and creation of states, those plans were on board but grab them in order to get support from own community and other communities in South Sudan who lost sense of knowledge and wisdom.
To take you back to the heading above, Riek values his life more than the lives of those he mobilize to fight the war of his own gain, following his conversation with Donald Booth the US special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan in New York (foreign policy) FP who ask him to sign a minute and report to Juba to be “slaughtered” by president Kiir in order to be seen as a “good person.”
The top opposition leader said it seemed the US officials were not concerned about what would come next if the security arrangements were carelessly signed by the parties at the workshop, referring to his conversations with the special envoy who wanted him to go to Juba despite lack of proper arrangements.
“He Donald Booth wants me to be slaughtered by Salva, then I would be a good person,” Machar said. “Go to Juba, sign your death,” he said, mocking the special envoy’s suggestion that he should return to Juba without security guarantees and before Ugandan troops could be withdrawn in implementation of the key provisions in the peace agreement. “Why would I return to a killing ground?” Machar added.
I applaud American government for what they had shown him for in order to be alert that he is not a good person, what he did always is for his own benefit as personal excluding his followers. Why do he care death ,when he mobilize 25000 youth to match to Bor and Juba that group perish from their journey to Juba except ghost return to their homes but living got finish ,the same in Malakal and Bentiu.
Nuer this time should know that the man they are always die for his course ,is only for his own benefit but not considering those who dead in defending him. Juba is not killing ground and Kiir can’t slaughter people, G11 are now with him alive but they were arrest and put in jail as normal thing in life and later release to Kenya. Why do you fear?
The aim of Riek is for American to guarantee him protection to send their troop to Juba for his protection, but it wouldn’t happen my friend, come for your death if Salva Kiir could kill people, you are very liar and that is what American might have understood. Why do you rush for signing and create fear for yourself when you was the first person to sign the peace document, what did you learn after you have sign it?
