Rise Again
–
On whose terms shall we face destiny?
How long shall we toe meandering routes?
Old paths going to unchanged domiciles
A journey on their rancorous sequence
Stories of hate, spite, murder of child
Rape, chopping, mutilation of mother.
–
Who decides our collective fate and why?
How long shall we remain stamped upon?
Wherefore our aptitude is a monopoly
Of the sturdy, yet feeble unwitting
Underlings of jumbled ranches
Sycophantic boisterous lots
Fishers of devious oodles?
–
Upswing onto liberty of conscience!
Set-up your scruples and meditate
When the One above said you are
Incessant breeds of folktales
Fated to redress ineptitude and voracity
Rise up and be!
Where you belong.
