Corruption in South Sudan

January 1, 2016 (SSB)  —  I was shocked when I read the allegations article written by Dr. Monykuch, against Hon. Stephen Dhieu minister of mining and petroleum, Paul Adong, former managing director of NILEPET and Moses Machar Aciek, without wasting the time, I personal suspected that this allegation made against them could be untruth because it seem to me that Dr. Monykuch, was curling over something during the formation of Apandang police petroleum defense forces and that might be the reason in the wake of his finger pointing.

Having not received the guarantee or response does mean that comrade Stephen is involved into South Sudan government corruption. Anyway am not blaming you for corruption issue that you have rise against these individual South Sudan government officials but don’t [miss]used for libel and defamation on your personal case rather than writing something that will sound to your readers.

I personally not related or relative to comrade, Stephen Dhieu, and the rest of the members that you have accused but bear in mind that those was not appointed by Apadang community but they was appointed by South Sudan government with support from their community that you call Apadangism today to fill the position of minister of mining and petroleum to represent Apadang community in the government and not in term of corruption that you have stated on your article.

Back to comrade Stephen Dhieu, background in South Sudan, first and primary he was appointed as Maluth county commissioner than to Upper Nile state finance minister during late Maj. Gen. Gatluak Deng Garang, the former governor of Upper Nile state from 2008-2009 leaving the state finance minister office in 2010 with good record during his time in the state level.

I wonder, why we South Sudanese citizens has gone beyond to that extend of abusing our rights leaders with very damaging wrong allegations, are this really part of democracy and freedom of speech? Do you know the pain and the damage that such baseless allegation can cause painful feelings? So Dr. Monykuch, you might have something wrong with you and this is not the most effective way for eradicating, revealing people how to fight corruption in South Sudan by publishing the government secret documents out into social network if you where really [PHD] holder.

What am certain here about is that those behind the deception for leaking out the secret documents minister of mining and petroleum to you cannot fool themselves that they had did good job to you with unproven evidence that did not add up any value.

During South Sudan 21 months crisis you did not show up to help people with your[ PHD] the knowledge that you have was, rather than running after money in Juba and you are somebody which I cannot describe because you need to be clear that you are dealing with personal issues and not growth barrier. Your allegations are not necessarily harmful to comrade Stephen and Moses Machar Aciek for them mind what you rise.

In fact, no nation of the world grew and enjoyed steady development in practically all sphere of its national life without experiencing good and selfish politics but there is nothing wrong with comrade Stephen, history in South Sudan government regarding corruption allegation to be rise on him in public media. It is difficult to raise any ill allegation without proven the root cause.

The most tragic effect on South Sudan that you would have said is the failure of the country to attain peace and its economic potential; there is no any connection with names of SPLA NCOS and senior officers list that you have attached to your article with wrong accusation and when these are later found wicked or unsupported, than you already done the damage by airing out their names over the social media and I can consider you as second to Edward Snowden, the American contractor who leaked out his country secret.

It will have distressing impact on you and it will also destroy your [PHD] career even though you overlook them with words that hurt their reputation.
