I think that the coming of Riek Machar to Juba is not about peace, but the takeover of the government

April 20, 2016 (SSB) —- It is now clear to all South Sudanese that the return of Riek Machar to Juba that we all have been waiting for was not intended for peace in South Sudan as we all have thought, but the intention of Riek Machar and his rebels is the takeover the government of South Sudan under President Salva Kiir. We all know that the government has already demilitarized the city for the sake of peace to its people of South Sudan and in order to prevent violence from taking place in the country again.
However, after the government of South Sudan demilitarized the city, Riek Machar and his rebels are planning to militarize the city with his tribal armies again that is why he wants to bring more than 1500 soldiers to Juba in addition of 1,370 soldiers that are already in the city in order to take over the government of South Sudan and to introduce another violence that would affect the innocent people like he has done it in 1991 and 2013.
Therefore, I think that the government of South Sudan has the full responsibility to not allow Riek Machar to kill the innocent people of South Sudan again and therefore, they should not allow him to bring an arsenal of arms, inter alia, anti-tanks, lazer guided missiles and heavy machine guns to Juba.
I am putting the responsibility of innocent people of South Sudan protection on the government of South Sudan because it is the government that was elected by the people of South Sudan in order to protect them when times like this comes.
The government of South Sudan should know by now that Riek Machar and his rebels do not care about the people of South Sudan and that they would do anything in order to get into power including killing all South Sudanese people.
Therefore, it is better for South Sudan government to cancel this Riek Machar peace agreement or appoint someone in the rebels’ camp and forget about Riek Machar with his delaying game tactics in order to save the lives of the innocent people in the country and in order to rescue the economics of the country.
