media reporting

May 11, 2016 (SSB) — I am very grateful to write to you on the news I found on your website this morning the 11-05-2016 over revocation of 28 states. The news you wrote is not exactly what we the citizens of Tonj expressed but altered as u wrote. Tonj citizens are in support to creation of 28 states and are even wanting more states to be added rather than subtracting.

According to the statement released by the state deputy governor, it states:

“We the citizens of Tonj and as a newly created state among other 28 states do hereby condemned the statement made by Miss Hellen Loej and do ask the UN to refrain from poking their noses into our internal affairs. Decision made by the president was in line with the demand of the people and that it was not a decision by the president. UN must allow South Sudan to have peace rather than creating another bloodshed war again. We will start fighting a justified war if the reverse is made and government will and shall be in great conflict and war with the citizens.”

That was the statement by deputy governor Hon. Manhiem Bol Malek who was also an acting governor in absence of Akec Tong Aleu. Therefore, the editor of this website must not propagate war but should work for the common good and interest of people. Media is media and it has no link with politics unless if your objective was politicized and political ambitious.

Thanks and I wish you keep the ethics of journalism and its objectives as to inform, educate and entertained and reinforced messages of peace and development.

Thanks and bye
