May 26, 2016 (SSB) — In attempting to recapture the obstacles of 2013 to 2016, the formation of the Transitional Government of Nation Unity (TGoNU) and what will happen in 2018, 2019 or 2020 predictably, foresees that there will be no free and fair elections unless there are constitutional and electoral reforms before the designated time for general elections. What constitutes the free and fair elections is the institution in itself to be established and independent from the influence of [political parties and the incumbent government]. Without earlier installations of these, chances of conducting elections in 2018 are likely to be impossible or appalling in respect to the disappearing crippling economy of the country.

Who will break this political deadlock between SPLM and SPLM-IO? in their feet dragging attitudes towards full implementation of the ARCISS and other burdens associated to the document such as the delivery of humanitarian needs to the IDPs, the security improvement, the dangling economy albeit the development of the country infrastructure remains deplorable amidst the political stalemate. The public is eager to hear from the signatories of ARCISS and the TGoNU recently formed to get relief from the suspicions of why the interim administration has gone slow and imperceptible in their programs and priorities since inception in late April to early May this year.

According to the speeches pledged by H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his First Vice President Dr. Gabriel Riek Machar Teny, the rally was to be organized and attended by Juba inhabitants. The Juba residents are also eager to hear from the leaders the message of peace, reconciliation, forgiveness and economic reforms. The rally was to kick-start immediately after the formation of transitional government but no official communication or a statement was released in regard to the inconveniences that led to the postponement of the promised gathering at Dr. Garang Mausoleum Ground.

To build public trust on this interim government, the two principals have to openly come out and talk to the people testifying that they are genuinely together and that they are committed to peace, and ready to open a new chapter in the country history of leadership apart from the looming perception that the oppositions are just buying time to re-organize, train and launch another war. Although TGoNU is a presumptive power-sharing government, it is seen as a driving force to tackle number of challenges facing the country during this transitional period towards 2018, 2019 or 2020 in which establishment of an equipped independent electoral commission has to be reformed now not later than in 2017 if the leaders are really interested in General Elections to take place by 2018. Otherwise, conflicts within the programs of transitional government between members of armed opposition and members of the original government, would result into pre-transitional time consumed and nothing is done to the owners of power the (people).

There is no reasonable concept to believe things will go as planned! Due to hidden grudges among the leaders of the current political development, the international community seems to have lost confidence in the current political games of hide and seek. This is not time for the blame game. The blame game was necessary during the confrontation time but not at the time when hopes seemed to have been restored, not at the time when efforts are to be exerted to advocate peace, reconciliation and national unity across the country. There is this demanding quest for the leaders to put country first, in their hearts before anything else because South Sudan will never die and for matter facts, it will live for the rest of her life no matter what and irrespective of those who want to tear it apart. Those who dare to live with equal amount of time as South Sudan lives, will still perish and South Sudan stands still as a Country.

Peace loving prayers are for interventions if transitional government has started finger pointing to themselves over endless disagreements instead of delivering duties to the expectation of the people and partners. Positive legacies are what make a leader or leaders worth remembering but chaos and instigation of an undeserved suffering repeatedly to the impoverished citizens would even overshadow the history of the years struggle and undermine post interim achievements of the same leaders as insignificant: for their unclear responsibility of 2013 misunderstanding or coup attempt as traded in between.

The interest of majority in the country is peace and progress, discarding the pains caused by 2013 war so that unity can be reclaimed through reconciliation and forgiveness campaigns spearheaded by the two vice Presidents and President accompanied by TGoNU ministers and Church leaders nationwide.
