one nation, one country, one people

June 23, 2016 (SSB) —- The rivalry of gaining power between Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and its concocted factions of IOs, FDs and DCs has paradoxically landed on a power-sharing type of transitional government formation. The Country Leadership a critical battleground within SPLM and Other Political Parties, the young Nation has been engulfed into dangling crossroads, deplorable infrastructure and one of the most extreme economic turmoil in the history of the country since inception, just because of throat-cutting politics with no nationalism.

The split within SPLM party and the scramble of many senior members for the top job in highest office of the land, remains an uncertainty among the people and the party supporters. What left me confused is the Arusha Document of SPLM re-unification accord signed in Arusha, Tanzania. The same SPLM, IOs, FDs in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia surprisingly signed the Compromise Peace Agreement (CPA) as different entities but not re-unified SPLM members leaving the accord in an incredible redundancy. This shows peace is highly welcomed and unrealistic in the making. “God forbid”! To a mere person, it is a new game changing strategy or new normal.

As a result, the power struggle, which for all intends and purposes, has undermined the Country Border demarcation to the north Sudan where Abyei, Ufura-Nias, Pan-thou and Mile 14; purely South Sudan territory, remains a point of contention with Sudan but little or nothing is being negotiated about the stalemate.

Another provocative territorial encroachment is South Sudan-Kenya border of Ilemi Triangle at Key-Base also known as (Kor-Dhuluma) to deeply inside of Nadapal, stands another pending international case to be formally solved. Our former nation, Sudan is just laughing behind the curtain at the Politicians of South Sudan for lacking the ideas, approaches and control over the management of themselves and the country affairs. Who are we waiting to solve these border crises? Bashir or Ban Ki-Moon? It is the work of our leaders if they can realize and drop the grudges to reclaim the deteriorating sovereignty and economy.

As such, South Sudan, a beautiful country is set to make hard choices for its future survival between whether the Country First, Power struggle after or Power struggle First and Country Establishment later. Here, Only God knows! Country needs prays for God intervention to endow the politicians with inspirations of Nation Building first rather than chaos and scrambling for leadership. At the moment, our hopes heavily rely on the good-faith implementation of the Peace Agreement and immediate establishment of independent government institutions before the arrival of the 2019 or 2020 with its imminent political problems.

For those who do not care for the citizen life-lost, who do not acknowledge the contribution of others, who do not believe in change, who do not care for public funds mismanagement, who do not even trust own families for change, who do not condone the talent and significance of others, who want to end the generations over generations! Know that God is witness and might at the end punish severely, know that history is recording its-self for accountability! Those you regarded as underdogs need peace, security and development not your public status on the road in Juba.

With the way things stand in the markets across South Sudan and, the people propensity towards the government (TGoNU) is not really conducive and might go rampageous if the salary and basic needs prices are not addressed. The Central government as well as State governments should increase the calls for humanitarian support to the people badly affected and also orders the business community(ies) to at least reduce the market prices of the basic human consumption such as food, water and medicine for the impoverished people of South Sudan both in urban and rural areas till the time, the overall economy will be professionally tackled. It is not the right moment for the President to be silent!

As political conflict continues to rage the country, it is still democratically believed in a different perspective that one day only these misused citizens of South Sudan will have the ultimate choice to oust those responsible for the current image of the country and to as well peacefully endorse those they think creditably observed to successfully administer the country, we would all love and proudly call our own. However, under the current situation, South Sudan needs Peace, Security, Economic improvement and Democracy to kick-off later on due dates.
