Kiiriek messy South Sudan

June 25, 2016 (SSB) — My dear readers and viewers, I would like to give my uninvited advice to H. E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan. Mr. President with due respect to you and your government, please allow me to explain to you and South Sudanese at large why I need you and your government to declare the state of emergency of INTERNATIONAL INTERVENTION for South Sudan economic collapse.

First, what are economic collapsed states and the status of economic collapsed states? Economic collapse has no clear definition but it is used to describe range of bad economic conditions ranging from severe, prolonged depression with high bankruptcy rates and high unemployment, a breakdown in normal commerce caused by hyperinflation or even an economically caused sharp rise in the death rate and perhaps even a decline in population.

Economic Collapsed states experienced social chaos, civil unrest, hyperinflation, failure to pay civil servants, and sometimes breakdown of law and order. These things are clearly observable in our country my dear President. Our country is partially and economically collapsed and need quick action Mr. President. All is as clear as day and why not wait for doom to fall over South Sudan when you are the only person there to help us out of this status. Please let us accept our economic collapsed state and be proud of it and this is when we will proudly stand before the world as you lead us to ask for international intervention.

It is not as sin sir! And we are not the first people to experience such bad economic state in our beloved Republic. In Jieng culture Mr. President, nobody ever openly accept to be poor, but this should not be applied in the status of a country like South Sudan. Please accept the reality but since your economic advisory board shy away from telling you the truth then you on your own Mr. President can proudly save our country from total economic collapse.

Mr. President, the writing on the wall is as clear as day and beyond doubt you are the only person to rescue our country’s economy from total collapse by simply declaring to international community to intervene and help our country. It is not a sin Mr. President that we must accept that we are not an island to live alone without international help. We need international intervention your Excellency Sir and the only person to proudly ask for international aid and intervention on behalf of South Sudan and her people as head of State only is you Mr. President, if I may repeat my point here.

Allow me to give you some few examples of countries that experienced the same situation like our beloved state. In ‘90s, former Soviet Union (Russia) and now second world power state declared to international community her dwindling economy and even went ahead to close broken ties with her foes in the West especially USA and her European allies. Is that a sin for Russia to simply admit and accept her failures that need international intervention? Is South Sudan exception too? Please Mr. President Sir, accept the proud position that your country needs the most in as far as current status are concerned.

Your Excellency Sir, let me continue to quote to you and country at large more examples of countries that proudly admit to their shortfalls and seek assistance. After the collapse of the former powerful house of the Communist states (USSR), 16 former colonies of former USSR like Ukraine, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria to name few, declared state of Emergency and proudly ask their former foes in the West to intervene and give them assistance to aid their dwindling and horrible economic status.

Why not for South Sudan to proudly admit too and ask for assistance? It is not a sin Mr. President that you must accept that we can’t live in isolation and that we must live in a global village where South Sudan’s friends scratch her back and South Sudan does the same to them. Please open your eyes and act fast Mr. President. Let your diplomats across the world appeal for international intervention.

Chad and Somalia for instance are few states within our region or Africa that proudly asked for international intervention when the country’s economy experienced a downturn due to civil unrest and war, why not for South Sudan to simply accept her current status of civil war and declare a state of international intervention? Please accept the reality that we need help and other countries more than they need us your Excellency Sir. We can’t live without outside help whether we like it or not.

Finally, our two year civil war and collapse of the economy due to international isolation do not need rigid stand but soft stand for the sake of our country and only people to rescue it from total collapse whether economically or politically is President and people of the Republic of South Sudan. Please let us avoid rigid stand and die silently. We need to talk and be heard let us reveal our weak point to the world and cry for help Mr. President. Who is to do this Mr. President? It is none other than you Your Excellency Sir. Talk Mr. President! Open up let you be heard! Let South Sudan cry for help be heard!

In conclusion Mr. President, I don’t think if you will be proud of a failed state under your leadership. I don’t think you want to see South Sudan ungovernable and in disarrayed status. Please accept the cry of South Sudanese people and act upon their cries. Please swallow your pride and that of your government for the sake of South Sudanese and at country at large. The pinch I am feeling is the same economic pinch that South Sudanese whether in government or outside government are feeling and the proud thing we can do as a country is to accept that we need help now! Till then…will I dream seeing your unique and proud cowboy hat on the screen uttering some good news and the only good news is proudly crying loud for assistance and intervention.
