Vice News’ Aris Roussinos reports that he spoke to Riek’s militia spokesman William Gatjieth Deng who issued the following:
(1) The SPLA-IO CGS is unhappy with the regular bombardment by Kiir’s forces of towns in Western and Central Equatoria
(2) CGS gives orders to all civilians in South Sudan to seek protection within UN camps within 7 days.
(3) CGS has given orders to SPLA-IO forces in Unity State & nearby to move to assemble in Bor town. Civilians encountered en route must be respected.
(4) All SPLM-IO supporters must remain calm & cut off communications with previous negotiator Taban Deng Gai who has deserted the movement.
(5) No SPLA-IO forces will return to Juba until Kiir govt accepts deployment of international forces. Otherwise, SPLA-IO will return fighting.
