Dear Mr President,

August 11, 2016 (SSB) — We, the people of South Sudan want to bring to your attention the hegemony attitude in which the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and President of Kenya are handling South Sudan. South Sudan is not business of two men.

We, the citizens of South Sudan have suffered enough in the last three years of the civil war. The cause of the war has been  the power struggle within the SPLM party that divided itself into the Government and Opposition along the tribal or ethnic line.

The war was ended by the IGAD mediated peace talk. As the nature of the war was ethnic, it was resolved using the best way of resolving other ethnic conflicts around the World and that best way was power sharing. The power sharing government was formed in April this year. From there the government becomes  the coalition of the 64 tribes of South Sudan .

During the process of negotiating the peace, the IGAD member states developed interest in South Sudan. Uganda supported the Government openly while Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya to chosen support the Opposition secretly or covertly.

In July, the fighting broke out gain between the Government and the Opposition. The Government chased out the rebels into bushes . The rebels proposed that a third force should be deployed to separate government and opposition soldiers. This proposal was taken at the first sight by IGAD countries- Ethiopia and Kenya, who were secretly supporting the opposition. IGAD quickly passed a resolution to deploy ‘protection force ‘in South Sudan.

This protection force is actually ‘invasion force’ which is coming to overthrow the government and install opposition into power. In the course of this regime change, we, the people of South Sudan shall suffer more and more.

Dear President , as you are one of elderly statesman in Africa , We , the people of South Sudan kneel before you  and ask Your Excellency to move the wheel of justice to save us from the injustice of IGAD countries .

South Sudan as a ‘’ failed state’’ as IGAD claim , is not private business of Prime Minster Haile Mariam and President Uhuru Kenyatta , South Sudan is not responsible of Ethiopia and Kenya but it is the responsible of all African continent including the Great Angola .

We, the people of South Sudan want Your Excellency to do justice for us  . We want Your Excellency to call urgent meeting of African Union and in that meeting, the moral responsibility of IGAD to resolve the problem of South Sudan be removed and given to AU because:

  1. Each IGAD country has  its  own  side of the war parties its supports .
  2. IGAD is not right arbitrator
  3. IGAD has become the part of the problem rather the part of the solution in South Sudan conflict
  4. If at all, there is a need for ‘protection force’ from the region then that protection force should come from countries who are neutral in the conflict and should not be from  the frontline state., like Ethiopia , Kenya , Uganda and Sudan , the protection force should come from Egypt , Djibouti , Rwanda , Tanzania and far countries who do not want to make money out of conflict

South Sudan is not just ‘hen’ that Ethiopia and Kenya can test their hegemony in the region. South Sudan is a member of African Union and if anyone is doing anything with it should be known to other African powers like Great Angola.

We want Your Excellency to save people of South Sudan by intervening on the same humanitarian ground like IGAD is doing. Use your diplomatic levers to mobilize your African counterparts to support you.

We kneel before  you  because you are an  elder statesman in Africa and things  can’t go wrong when you have  not heard them.
