September 15, 2016 (SSB) —- First and foremost, I would like to convey condolence to the families who lost their beloved people to unknown gunmen especially those who were innocently killed on Nimule, Juba, kaya, Yei and Juba, Yei road without reason let their soul rest in peace. I also thank my fellow South Sudanese people for being honest and concession during this crisis and maintain their spirit of nationalism without protesting calling for help from international community.

Although they cover a lot of challenges such as hunger problem and insecurity matter, they citizen remain supportive to government especially those suffering in Yei county, Yei River state (Central Equatoria) who are actually lock inside the den of hunger without any help from any institution their suffering is unfold policy of rebellion in the region.

In this analysis you will understand, who is responsible for citizen’s well-being and properties protection in the country? This question will help you understand where there is problem in this nation. We know very well that citizens are basically protected by government from external and internal conflict. Also government makes provision of basic needs to all citizens across the country to make sure that their basic needs such as provision of enough food, health and education facilities are well constructed across the nation.

Taking into account such factors, coupled with stability exuberance and a complex web of physical, psychological and social development, perhaps we should be asking why we not hear sound of guns anymore. But sometime Poor administrative Systems is a radical approach in governing a multipurpose nation such as South Sudan to develop into expected nation of freedom and prosperity, where  her citizen live in peace and spirit of nationalism.

Rather than lying the blame for most on the local citizen, fled the nation can be understood as a failure in the system which should actually protect nation. These citizens who their right is denied are they stakeholders of this nation other than President or anybody else.

So if the government is responsible for the protection of citizens in the nation. Why do we lost many people in Juba town, Yei -Juba road, Juba-Nimule road, Kaya-Yei road, Juba-Bor road, Juba-Kajo-Keji road and many roads of South Sudan are actually not safe for movement either by road or footing. Where is the government? And who is killing people on above mentioned roads? Yes I know it will take thousands of hours for government to explain the reason why not protecting citizens.

I usually axiom many vehicles colors with army color patrolling city during day hours without going to patrol on roads leading to other towns of South Sudan where our local people being ambushed by unknown gunmen that are not specify to any group. Also seeing security agents moving around within Juba arresting people, confiscating newspapers and torturing people of reporting allegation against their will that will never help the nation.

They should reform from their primitive thought of killing innocence people, which are not their mandate in this nation but they are supposed to go and ambushed those ambushing people on road and killed innocent people.  They have to arrest those killers and brought them to book so that they face justice base on their crimes.

I know our government likes to focus a lot in Juba without monitoring it citizens from diverse locations to assess their situation so that it can plan something to those affected once. Our leaders failed to manage outside Juba because of poor monitoring mechanism to control and protect local citizens from unlike enemies.

Maybe our leaders though South Sudan is equal to Juba alone without knowing that Juba is nothing compare to other towns. Protecting Juba is zero work in real sense, people should not proud of defending juba as subject to handover citizens to criminals Juba is just like a house in the compound our leaders should note that.

This piece of writing questioning government as why is it not taking action against the killing of people on Juba Nimule and Juba Yei road since the violence started? Some people may think negatively as why I wrote this article but I’m concern because those moving on these roads are my fellow South Sudanese whom I share nationality with them. So therefore, am requesting government to look for possible mean to first open road from Juba to Yei by force in-order to enable supply of food to our local people and establish suitable security around and alongside  Juba — Yei road.

Also government should deploy troops on Juba Nimule road to facilitate the free movement on that road to stabilize and brought the violence to an end. It is in my opinion to have group of people or security personal who are willing to stabilize the situation across the nation and join hands with international community who are behind conflict resolution that tries to explore a new and effective way of solving our differences as South Sudanese people.

We should not resist from our tradition of tribal determination in this modern world, we better learn the policies of governing different diversity through maintaining their historical important in this nation other than killing people. I know there are people who always act negatively and enjoy period of war who in fact encourage people to stay behind by aphorism that there are no solutions to an erupted problem happening within the nation. This nation will never be stable unless the government takes the responsibility of protecting people and make good provision of basic services to people athwart the country.

Government cannot be less powerful to liberate people from dangerous circumstances like this period. Indeed, this is the time for government to protect its citizens and their properties from enemies of the same land.   On other hand, our leaders have adopted a bad policy of mistreating citizens indeed they justify everything they do in a false anticipate that they are not perfect to manage the condition.

My mean aim to write this article is to give confidence to government to look further than the root cause of the violence; to design way forward of protecting local people from road attack or road ambush.  This need government to avail help to all suffering people in the country and make sure all the criminals is brought to book to clarify their mission of killing innocent people across the nation. I know there is reason to fear because almost all conflicts have some hidden agenda and, unless brought out to the open, the two parties in conflict cannot live in peace with one another, therefore working and living together remain a formality to prevail.

There are some people who like to take law into their hands and kill innocence people in cold blood putting country into mess.  In this article, I’m trying to alert the national government to address the issue of killing innocent people on Nimule to Juba road by unknown group in-order to come up with the modality of solving this problem without delaying tactic. So I have suggested that government need to be careful in receiving advice and that our struggle for delivering our opinion should not be mistaken as kind of challenging leadership but of good lessons of supporting leadership to lead people with anxiety.

This means that the ongoing conflict in our country at large needs to be solved now before it is too late what we need is to find solutions at all costs to resolve the spirit of killing innocent people without reason. So that they local people will have trust in national government and believe their security (protection) is under national army of South Sudan across the country.
