December 17, 2016 (SSB) — It had been three months ago since the political restructuring and allocation of the Ruweng State Government was apportioned into the eight counties in accordance to the legal mandates and required constitutionality of the RSS.
However, as the result of the gubernatorial misinformation and mismanagement of the national standards requirements, recommended procedures and guidelines over the distribution and allocation of the Ruweng State Counties according to the National Census of the 2008, Kuocgoor was intentionally and politically robbed and deprived of her destined and constitutional county as is expected according to their population.
Therefore, as a matter of the intentional and politicized deprivation and violation of the constitutional rights of the people of Jamjang (Kuocgoor), the Kuocgoor leaders and their people in Homeland and Diaspora began to wage a political petition and advocacy to pursue their intended county with unwavering compromise and unapologetic aggressiveness.
After the lengthy perseverance in an aggressive persuasion and petition of the Ruweng State Government and political elements of Kuocgoor who are believed to be behind the blockade of the constitutional county of Kuocgoor, the citizens and leaders of Kuocgoor continue to push for the conduct of the General Assembly Convention to assess and determine the political plebiscite of the Kuocgoor demand for their county.
Last week, from December 10th to 11th, 2016, the Kuocgoor General Assembly convened in Jamjang, Ruweng State, and the Kuocgoor’s popular demand for the exclusive county was passed anonymously with an overwhelming majority votes along with other series of popular resolutions yet to be released in the KGA Convention Document by the Special Committee. The Kuocgoor Special Committee was formed by the KGA Convention to be charged and delegated with the delivery mission as the special envoy to communicate the popular resolution communique of Jamjang people to the office of the Ruweng State Governor, Hon. Mayol Kur Akuei in Panrieng.
As the result of this popular convention by the people’s general assembly of Jamjang, the Kuocgoor Community leaders and citizens in both Homeland and Diaspora are hereby requesting and urgently urging Hon. Mayol Kur Akuei to take a swift action to approve and certify the Kuocgoor’s constitutional county. Kuocgoor looks forward with optimism and enthusiasm to celebrate the expeditious outcome of the Jamjang People’s General Assemby Convention Communique Resolution as the new gift of the 2016 Christmas and to open a conducive relations in New Year (2017) among Ruweng citizens,
