Celebration of the best wishes and happy New Year 2017 in South Sudan

January 2, 2017 (SSB) — My dear South Sudanese at home and in diaspora, New Year 2017 wishes, please take your lovely words to your family, friends, relatives, colleagues, and faithful greetings to everyone in Jesus name- Amen. I begin to greet Paanluelwel; the South Sudanese Blogger chief editor, and entire staff for their tremendous published Website and published my opinion articles as well as rest of South Sudanese opinions, and public presses. As a South Sudanese, who were been back for centuries, I love writings ever, but appreciation and honour with wholehearted felt to peace-lovers in our country who said, no South Sudanese should die again in the hand of other fellow South Sudanese, and whose vision is to bring lasting peace and stability in the country.
It is my great pleasure to applaud a great job well done by our national forces in Juba as people celebrate one January 2017 without sound of gun shot in the capital Juba, and in regarding the year 2017as it had already started with clear hope of peace and stability despite challenges of hunger, and other social problems. Juba is so peaceful last night. It is the first time in my area to move freely at night without fear of unknown gunman. I plead and appreciated the president, and special committees of security forces for this work and directives. This is a real work of nationhood, and spirit of nationalism. As we celebrate we have celebrated as Christian’s nation in regard to what the Bible Says.
What does the Bible says about celebrations? As Christians, my spirit says, the Lord of hosts must be praise, and honoured. Therefore, there are many celebrations in the Bible, and we celebrate according to times, and seasons. In the year 2017, we celebrate and want to tackle issues related to Christianity, and Bible says, building unity, and cover uncover God’s reasons for establishing celebrations, especially celebration of forgiveness in Christ Jesus- Amen.
In psalm 150: 1-6, “Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tumbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, and praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breathes praise the Lord. Praise the Lord”.
As a nation of Christian Majority, although we celebrated Christmas on twenty fifth (25) December 2016 with gestures of fears, rumours of rebel attacks, liars, propaganda, bad wishes, hunger, and economic crisis, we celebrated again the New Year 1/1/ 2017 with new hope, peace, unity, love, forgiveness, reconciliation, and new roadmap of national dialogue initiative which is applauded or welcome by many South Sudanese at home and in diaspora. So my last points are in 1 Corinthian chapter ten, verse thirty one, and here are as follows:
The book of 1 Corinthians 10:31 said, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” And by doing whatever we want to do, let do it to the God’s glory, we need to uphold these for wishes and gratitude of the New Year 2017 greetings.
- South Sudanese hold the smile on your face, smile again, and let the tears go, keep the laughing, lose the pain, look for joy, and abandon the fears especially in Juba.
- Life is very expensive, inaccessible, and not produces by the state. No state can produce a single life, but life is produce by human or living things.
- May all expectations and goals of each South Sudanese be reaching in each day of the year 2017 and beyond?
- Let the New Year 2017 give all of us better courage, and strength overcome our differences, and to earn for the virtues of peace and unity.
- As the sun rises in the east and sun sets in the west, I wish my nation, a home of generations of today, and generations to come, may God Almighty restore South Sudan beauty, dreams, hopes, trusts, faith, love, unity, prosperity, celebrations, and freshness’s of the New Year 2017.
- South Sudan open your eye, and see the bright day awaiting for you ahead, and forget bad dreams of war and killing your small population, and produce more population to assist you in development.
- O God, equip us with good lucks, good health, good cheerily, good fortune, good work, good dreams, true love, good potential, good move, good analyses , and good time all the times.
In the book of Ecclesiastes 3:4 in Old Testament reads, “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance”. But South Sudan had experienced all these circumstances. Today, whenever you take public bus either to Konyo Konyo, Jebel, Gudele, Jubadit, Gumbo/ Shirikart, Gure, Jebel Dinka, New site etc, if you step on somebody toss and you say sorry, the person may say don’t worry, peace with you. People are singing peace, peace in Juba for New Year 2017, and I hope South Sudanese will restore soon their devastated unity back to normal.
As I want to conclude my choicest blessings of the year 2017, I want to advise all of us that South Sudan is our country, we are proud of it, we will build it, we will cultivate on it, we do walk on it, we will be buried in it, and we will leave our descents on it. Therefore, I still come across love, peace, health and joy, and I pray to count my blessings and greetings to South Sudanese once more for the year 2017 changes, and great opportunities. One people, one nation. O God blesses South Sudan, we celebrate and pray Amen.
