Her last grief

By Riak Marial Riak, Juba, South Sudan

She sees with eye so pale

When this Elysian wind burst the child wail,

Brother, brother what would this saturate

That the clouds look gloom and predate.

The lenses became nearer to the sunshine

But nothingness distill my thought in the moonshine.

She utters a wailing curse

To sit watching the star that was worsen by dying gnats in crust.

With grief of living bowling round the primrose,

She glided and meet mourning madame Rose.

When the physician of her heart lie dead

She slide around the falling hill to break the hemlock head.

But woe twist round her waist

While her husband died of a poison from a woman who love waste.

She sees her life fade with the wind

And grow a garland of love to hoard the wince.

Thus a gloom strike to her mind’s window

And race after the bursting horse in the meadow.

She thinks of her last grief drizzling from heaven

But twas the lust of her own life that the seal was given.
