Gogrial community in Uganda welcomes Kiir's appointment of Gregory Deng as governor of Gogrial state

January 6, 2017 (SSB) — The leadership of Gogrial state community in Uganda has warmly welcomed the wise decision taken by His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit to appoint Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach commonly known as Gregory Vasili.
On behalf of the students, women and youth of Gogrial state community in Uganda, we would like to congratulate the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit for the trust he has bestowed upon the long awaited able leader Hon. Major. Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach as Governor of Gogrial state.
His Excellency, we have appreciated your decision and compassion for listening to the demand of the people of Gogrial state to appoint the right person they have been expecting for the seat of governorship. Major Gen. Gregory Vasili is an active, energetic, capable, and committed person we ever have in Gogrial state and his appointment for the position will make positive impacts for changes in the state.He will be the right person to bring peace between the two communities (Aguok and Apuk) once and for all.
Similarly, we would like to extend our heartiest congratulation to Major General Gregory Vasili for winning the trust of our president to appoint you as our new Governor of Gogrial state.
We are sure that under your great leadership, wisdom and guidance in Gogrial state will strive to greater heights and achievements. The president has made an excellent choice based on expertise, experience and talent in the leadership. We at our Association pledge our further support and look forward productive cooperation.
We wish you successes upon your assumption of your new responsibilities as Governor of Gogrial state.
