January 12, 2017 (SSB) — The governor of Jonglei state H.E. Philip Aguer Panyang Jot has announced the visit of the former president of the republic of South Sudan H.E. Abel Lier Kuai Kut on Thursday.

Governor Philip describes the visit of Molana Abel Alier as blessing to the people of Jonglei state.

“The visit of Molana Abel Alier is a blessing to the people of Jonglei state as an elderly person as former president of executive council and former Vice president of the Republic of Sudan and writer of many books that we think have contributed to the liberation of South Sudan,” Governor Philip AGuer told the media in his office.

Abel Alier is coming home to see his family and relatives and the government of Jonglei state is privileged to welcome him. Abel will address the executive, legislative, judiciary wings and specialized commissions and the people of Bor town at the secretariat general rally tomorrow.

A reception committee and another special committee has been formed to arrange for Molana’s full board accommodation and reception. Able will also visit his home village Magaar where he was born. The minister for defense Gen Kuol Manyang Juuk will provide military helicopter to transport Molana Abel Alier and the delegation form Juba.

On the security situation, the governor of Jonglei state Philip Aguer Panyang Jot has assured that no security threats have been reported to his administration for the last two weeks.
