"We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing" By Konstantin Josef Jireček, a Czech historian, diplomat and slavist.

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear

Demo-cracy or Demo-crazy?

January 16, 2017 (SSB) — Hello, you are kindly welcome to hear the voice of Lazarus in the slum, the innocent inheritor of the nightmare of  extreme poverty, disunity, massive killing of innocent people among other problems resting on our shoulders in the Republic of South Sudan (ROSS).Please, don’t shy away when you come across the rhetorical questions.

Why the politicians of the day are ceaselessly blackmail the youth of our nation to go slow on criticism and yet they are handling the matters of public interest in the manner that lowering the dignity of our nation? They are living in the house that is not put in order and expect us to shape our contributions according to what they want to hear. For sure, impossibility is a valid answer.

What is wrong with it if we voluntary play the role of national Watch-dog by alerting you for free that the devil who planted the seeds of backwardness in the progress of our nation is not yet satisfied and here are the possible lone gates which It could be use to strikes us again?

I noticed with a lot of concern, that your popular political lenses of the day are not showing you the right thing; they are not giving you the clear image of the youth position on matters of public interest, we are watch-dogs. Never ever attempt to view us as if we are Autumn Hawks with obscured plan to snatch out the golden piece of meat in your possessions. That is not our solely intention. Our intentions are as follows:

First of all, It is our duty to point out where the error comes from because, in every country youth are the thermometer that can be used to measure social, political and economical stability of the nation, and in the case of the nation like Republic South Sudan, the nation where the future of the citizens is resting on the fragile foundation, a nation that is dancing on the precipice and about to slip off.

The tongue of the patriotic citizen must be disturbing like a he-goat on heat in the young forest condemning the current stagflation, insecurity issues, financial relates crimes among others. We cannot afford to bury our heads in the sandy soil on the matters that would be sense like a trace of thorn in the flesh in some years to come.

“The right way to predict the future is to create it now.” Abraham Lincoln. Time and again, in several occasions politicians used to tell us that we are the future leaders. Yes, we are the one to be, and if exactly we are the one in waiting then, it is our duty to discover ourselves early enough like following legendary leaders:

Nelson Mandela as a young man ran away from an arranged marriage from the village just to realize that his people in town where living an agonizing life under the horrible system of apartheid. He rose to the occasion and the rest is in the annals of history.

Patrice Emery Lumumba, with only basic education was in his early twenties a marketing manager at a beer company. While there he began to dream of a free and independent Congo in 1950’s. In his own words Bill Clinton said he started dreaming of being the president of US at a very young age after school visit to the White House.

Look at Jesus; the greatest leader that ever was and is. The Bile says that at the age of 12 he was found in the temple in the midst of doctors of the law and scholars talking about the purpose of his life. Muhammad Ali was introduced to the boxing world at age of 12.He rose to become the indisputable boxing champion before his rest in peace.

Thirdly, it is not in accordance with our popular will as youth of young nation whirling in bondage of no peace and unity to serve Judas goats with collective green light to benefit from the results of their selfish intention.

A Judas goat is trained goat used in general animal herding. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them to specific destination. In stockyards, a Judas goat will lead sheep to slaughter house, while it own life is spared. In short, these politicians are making us to be the key drivers of the problem resting on our shoulders and we need to be sufficiently aware of it.

Judas goat policy happened when David Yau Yau witnessed the death of numerous Cobra militia in the bush and come back to Juba alone save his own neck. The same thing is happening now to Mathiang Anyoor and White army, you suffer for someone who will not remember you and your family when you die. No, that is called a blind sycophancy and we have to refrain from it.

Fourth, I think it is advisable to do mistake when your instructors are available because when you do mistake in their absent nobody will show you the right way to go. So our instructors please, give us the chance to make mistake in your present in order for you to show us the right way to go while you are still alive.

Finally, freedom of speech is our constitutional right; we are exercising our constitutional provision. Therefore, we should not be restricted to air out the burning issues in the hour of needs.
