February 1, 2017 (SSB) — The secretary for information of the Jonglei’s Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD), Jongkuch Jo Jongkuch, a civil society group in Jonglei State,, has welcomes the position of the UN, AU and regional peace partners for the calls an immediate cessation of hostilities in South Sudan.
The people of the south Sudan have been suffering for more than three years due to conflict said Jongkuch. Jongkuch says Thousands fled their homes and shelter within south Sudan at the protection of civilian sites and IDPs camps and many leave for neighbouring countries.

There is no nation that civilians are killed, raped and forced to leave their homes and there is no accountability in place and nobody should be asked for committing such crime against his own people he said. Jongkuch appealed to all the warring parties for the immediate investigation of recent violence in Upper Nile and Unity states
earlier this month.
It also urges the warring parties to the conflict that broke out at Presidential palace to hold those responsible accountable with the support from the establishment of a Hybrid Court for South Sudan which will identify perpetrators of violations and crimes proscribed in the agreement he narrate.
On Saturday in Ethiopia capital, Addis Ababa the U.N, African Union (AU) and regional partners have reiterated calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities in South Sudan, urging the parties to ensure an inclusive political process, both in the proposed national dialogue and in implementation of the 2015 peace accord.
The U.N, African Union (AU) and regional partners have expressed their deep concerns over the continuing spread of fighting, risk of inter-communal violence escalating into mass atrocities, and dire humanitarian situation in South Sudan.
Moreover; Despite the August 2015 peace agreement that formally ended the war, conflict and instability have also spread to previously unaffected areas in the Greater Equatorial and Greater Bahr-El-Ghazal South Sudan region.
