The barrage of recent news out of Junub Thudan are interestingly unique to the country:

1. The Kingdom of Morocco will fund the construction of the new capital city of the Republic of South Sudan at Ramciel

2. The Honorable Minister for Education, Deng Deng Hoc Yai, announces that the government of the Republic of South Sudan, under the leadership of H.E. Lt. Gen. President Salva Kiir Mayaardit, will provide free primary and secondary education to all kids in the country.

3. President Kiir is rumored to have given a tacit go-ahead for the re-opening of the construction of the Jonglei Canal, and Egypt is being accused to have began bombing rebels’ sanctuaries in the Upper Nile region.

4. That the new Governor of Central Bank, in consultation with the new Finance Minister and the old-face President, is considering reverting back to the 2005 rate of $1=2.5ssp as a panacea to the crisis of “economy taking up arms” in South Sudan as Garang Atem Ayiik aptly phrases it.

Happy Thunday!!!!!
