February 15, 2017 (SSB) —- The use of political tribe as a platform to build a political ideology is a misplaced strategy and in real political context, its amount to political illiteracy or ignorance, for the case of South Sudan, it is a wrong political path to choose because it will not enhance any political change

Surprisingly, the opponents of President Kiir have opted for this approach, going around within and outside the world associating Dinka as a tribe to President Kiir’s regime. Their sole intention is to gain Political Sympathy outside and to mobilize other tribes against Jieng so as to enhance their unconstitutional quest of power.

Blackmailing Dinka as a tribe is a manifestation of a shear ignorance about South Sudan political facts, history has it that no any political movement has ever achieved its intended goals without the backing of Mighty Jieng as a tribe but not a political Jieng as a person. Anyanya I &II, SPLA-Nasir Faction and SSIM who signed the 1997 Khartoum Agreement which ended up in total humiliation can attest to that fact.

The history of inception, organization and maintenance of the SPLA war of liberation should have taught much about Jieng especially to those (other tribes) who had privilege to take part in liberation war but unfortunately they have chosen to feed their tribes with false and inaccurate information, portraying Dinka as lawless, foolish, uncivilized and all thought of evils.

The intention is not only to tarnish Dinka’s image but to undermine its generous contributions both in human and materials during the liberation war.

What moral ground do someone who or his community took part in SPLA-Nasir faction, SSIM, EDF (Equatoria Defence Force) or the philosophers of Kalam bitaa Dinka ma mudukuru bii kalasu sena de ..Have to stand against the mighty patriotic Jieng tribe? Jieng has done all it could for the sake of South Sudan. Where have the memories of 2005 when SPLA entered Juba, gone?

Consistency, objectivity and patriotism are embedded in Jieng’s blood stream and that is why there will be no day Jieng will turn against any minority tribe however much they are provoked, and on the same note, Jieng as a tribe will remain an influential factor in modeling any political destiny in South Sudan. Jieng is South Sudan and vice versa, Jieng has this nation in their hearts.

The consequences of pursuing anti-Jieng political strategy as a tool of ascending into power is not only disastrous but it is infeasible in a sense that it wouldn’t achieve an intended goal as explained below:

Breading of totalitarian regime: the primary function of an opposition, “check and balance” which helps many governments to improve on their responsibilities of service delivery, will be a nightmare.

The government will always equate any opposing voice to the negative oppositions in the bush, who are in fact seen by majority of citizens at the angle, therefore the government will remained unchecked.

Adaption of Tribal supremacy ideology : there is a limit of human’s endurance, if the oppositions continue with such strategy then time will come when all Jieng a cross its political divide will view the opposition as existential threat and automatically unite under one political umbrella to confront the perceived enemy and this will set the nation into ruin.

Prolong Humans suffering: as a known fact, the opposition will never win any war against Kiir’s regime unless they change the strategy and the end result will be destruction and loss of lives which are not in any body’s favor, either government or oppositions.

This opinion article is therefore a call to the oppositions to heed to the call of National Dialogue, come back home and engage in a meaningful and genuine opposition. UN has/will never installed any leader in exile nor has/will any tribal movement ever won against any seating president in the world history.

It is therefore high time the oppositions come back home and share with us their political ideologies but not a chronic song of ‘Dinkanization’.
