Weekly Friday cabinet meeting in Juba, 22 July 2016

March 10, 2017 (SSB) — On March 6, 2017, African Press online published an Article entitled: The Dinka led government is scrambling, removing Paul Malong bring the Dinka dynasty to an end. African Press reported in that Article that South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has reached the final stage to get rid of a few powerful politicians, mostly from his Dinka tribe, who have been very supportive in his struggles in the last three years.

African Press cited the insiders in the Office of the President or in the Government who spoke on condition of anonymity due to fear of reprisal, reveal that President Salva Kiir has advanced plans to reshuffle the army and his cabinet to distance “some powerful” Dinka politicians and military generals.

It further went on to state that it has been reliably informed by the credible source that “Mr. Kiir, who is very determined to maintain power for many years, has prepared enough to “reshuffle” the military without resistance.

African Press in addition reported that according to the leaked report from the office of the President, the reshuffle would affect the current Chief of General Staff, Gen. Paul Malong Awan, his loyal Deputy Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. James Ajongo, Minister of Defense, Gen. Kuol Manyang Juuk, Director of External Security, Gen. Thomas Duoth Guet and a few powerful others.

Having read the above report, I found necessary to write this little article as comment on what is going on in the office of the President of South Sudan. It appears as if we are cohabiting with the enemy in the Office of the president which makes me ask this simple question: is the office of the president of the Republic of South Sudan saved?

As pointed out above whether the Office of the President is saved, it has become a major concern to me and others as there is no secret in the office of the President any longer. Everything is leaked before it is done.

For instance, on July 26, 2016, Nyamilepedia reported that a confidential leak report extended to Nyamilepedia by insiders reveals that president Salva Kiir has directed his Chief of Staff of SPLA(IG), Gen. Paul Malong Awan, to carry heavy offensives on the hideout of the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

Other similar leaked reports extended to Nyamilepedia indicate that President Salva Kiir ordered the July 8th, 10th and 11th attacks to assassinate the First Vice President within Juba, a plan that cost over 500 lives within 4 days of fighting.

In addition, AllAfrica.com reported that South Sudan Leaked Memo reveals power struggle, conspiracy, accusations, and a ‘history of political dirty Tricks’ Between President Kiir’s Trusted Insiders.
