President Kiir's Golden Heart: The Peaceful resolution of Kiir-Malong Feud

November 22, 2017 (SSB) — President Salva Kiir Mayardit has the golden heart for South Sudan; what remains is constitutional cooperation from the people and the three Arms of the Government. SPLM/A motherly step of initiating South-South dialogue in 2005 have resulted into the unity of purpose that had led to an achievement of the peaceful and successful referendum in 2011.
The SPLM/A open and accommodating legroom was clearly manifested in South-South dialogue and Big Tent Theory which resulted in an integration of various tribal militia groups without their self-awarding ranks been questioned.
After the elections of 2010 and beyond the Independence OF South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has personally taken the responsibility of making and signing peace with various rebel groups who were honestly and openly accommodated without an objection to their bush returning ranks and demands.
In the search for peaceful resolutions of conflicts the President unconditionally ordered unilateral ceasefires though on several occasions were carelessly abused by the other fighting groups.
In July 2016 President Salva Kiir revealed a nationalistic position by protecting the life of Dr. Riek Machar his then 1st Vice President in the TGoNU by personal taking over the command of his bodyguards and other security personnel who were involved in the ugly fighting in J1 Juba.
Because of his love and care for the people of South Sudan, President Kiir did not take the incident personally and for the sake of history he provided secured car to Dr. Riek Machar who was escorted to his residence by the President’s own Security personnel; that move alone put President Kiir into golden list of caring and peace-loving leaders of the world.
President Kiir in an extreme search for peace and exchange of bad hearts with good hearts went on and announced a national day for prayers in March 2017 which was greatly attended by a huge crowd.
When the rate of daily robbery was of the highest caliber in Juba in form of bag snatching from the weary foot-going Pedestrians by criminals, The President himself in June 2017 during the graduation of police at Juba Football Stadium braved on the security personnel to toughly deal with crime perpetrators such as bag snatchers and unknown gunmen who with their sinful behaviors distressed most part of South Sudan and Juba city in particular.
Again on the same boat of humanity, the President went ahead and gave orders in July 2017 for the crackdown of illegal and exploitive businesses such as fuel and dollar black marketing.
More importantly, the President went ahead and call for a national dialogue such that the citizens can put aside their bad pasts, freely and wholeheartedly forward their views to the National Dialogue Secretariat without fear of intimidation such that a common and unifying ground can be achieved.
And if carefully handled and received will be the only hope and way out of the current crisis, the President effort and care for the people of South Sudan was reiterated by his directive during a security committee’s meeting held on the 10/11/2017 and in which he directed all the security organs and public not to give a drop of mercy to criminals.
In actual sense dealing with notorious criminals can never be handled with one eye closed, it is a serious issue that put life of everyone at risk. Severe Punishment for crime commit should be a very one prayer and responsibility because criminals’ activities are unfavorable and unfriendly.
Criminals are ghost feeders and therefore, should not be given mercy even by their own parents, it comes a time when their own relatives plunge into tough interrogations because of a number of crimes committed by them.
As a leader of his people President Salva Kiir has thrown a leadership burning touch into the circle and ranks of organized forces.
What is left is not for the President, it is the duty of those he has given powers to act; it is not the President who can arrest the criminals, it is not him to set prices, it is not the President who can personally deal with village youths and it is not his sole responsibility to build diplomacy and International Relationship.
Government is a big umbrella made up of many small working umbrellas and that is why there are three arms of government the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary.
Officials at the national level are there to scrutinize and report to the Presidency on national interest particularly of their institutions and immediate roles conferred upon them by the President and constitution.
Villages chief must update the Boma chief, Boma chief must updates payam chief, payam chief must updates the paramount chief, paramount chief must updates Payam Administrator and Payam Administrator must updates the Commissioner, the Commissioner must updates the Governor, Governor must update his state assembly, his state MPS at the national level, the two houses of legislature at the national level and the Presidency.
That is how the system could be but in our case all the eyes are on the Presidency, people mobilized themselves with the aim of coming to the President to talk on issues affecting them, this gravely shatter the longest chain of command and governance.
When the President respond to some of their voices and demands the same individuals turned against the same demand and begin taking odd turns with the Government, blatantly if the people have been standing courageously with the President all the issues of corruption and act ups would have gone long time ago.
It is only after the people of South Sudan encouraged and strongly shown their support to the President by telling him the achievements and obstacles that the government have purely on good faith thereafter, the people of South Sudan shall have what they are aspiring for.
It is not the President who can procure and distribute fuel, it is not only the President who can eliminate and stop crimes, it is not the President who can set prices, it is not the President who can value our currency, it is not the President who can stop the war and it is not alone the President who can united the People of South Sudan.
It is a collective responsibility for the citizens of South Sudan with the President as their Supervisor, Leaders as framers and the people as live wire and performers.
