The Parting Word to Gen. Bor Wutchok Bor Following his Removal!

January 29, 2018 (SSB) — Dear my immediate ex-governor, despite the fact that I have been stopped by my brothers not to actively participate in writing until later dates, I can’t withhold penning something as you exit Eastern Lakes state and so my apologies to them.
Dear Sir, when you were appointed, I was in Kampala, Uganda. While there, I wrote a short piece in this same space expressing my gratitude and a few words of advice to you. The key words in my then piece were, “murder no one, loot no one” and listen to all before you decide. Exactly you responded to my few words in a manner devoid of arrogance.
Indeed, you are a listener, am proud of you. I don’t regret having supported you for these bountiful virtues and hence I will always support you. You have no victim. You only have happy subjects. You have looted nobody, you were not establishing a monolithic kingdom. You served with revered respect for all. You are not an oppressor and you dictated nobody.
These characteristics have wooed me into your full support. It has come to everyone’s attention that my stand behind you was unsolicited, unpaid for, self-seeking or vested interest and not a mere sympathy but empathy. I will never support a rich thief or a murderer but a man of high moral turpitude and you are one such.
You stole not a single goat from anyone. You haven’t solicited funds for your personal gratification. You didn’t come for wealth consolidation. You came as a service man, a man of integrity. A discipline soldier who has been always ready to show patriotism. You have never shown contempt. Your judgement has never been clouded by ego. You are exemplary in multiple ways. You never suffered superiority or inferiority complex. You are steady. Keep the cool.
However, take these few words from me once again. As a leader who has recently served your people and then removed by H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, never use negative mental attitudes. Remain a better soldier and a loyal citizen.
The prerogatives rest with the president. Look not for scapegoats. Blame no one. Do not allow members of your team to rant or hurle insults at anyone. Never consult magicians for any reason behind your removal. The magicians may lie and even create a rift between you and those they abhor. Rest assured, you have multiple tasks ahead. You are shrewd, upright with a lot of wisdom. Therefore, you are a useful force, not a deadwood.
Rightly, never leave Yirol until you hand over the instruments of power to Gen. Mangar Buong Aluenge. Show him what you have done, the plans in the pipeline and the next immediate ones. That way, Yirol will experienced new dawn, the dawn of peaceful handover.
I know your usual character, you are not a self-seeking individual and so you will run away with nothing. Do not steal even a needle. You will get your personal fuel elsewhere through your sweat. In case there is any little fuel in the government’s depot, reserve it for the incoming government.
You will be remembered only in a good way. Nobody will mourn for a murdered son, stolen cow or grabbed land. It is true that God has stood with you firmly during your tenure. Few serious issues have not escalated and so you should be grateful to the good Lord and not the decorated vultures.
For your information, you have had a cabinet of unmatched quality. Youngsters of high agility, industriousness, highly educated and committedly loyal. These qualities clad with wisdom of the few elders among them, resulted to the aroma that we have been experiencing. I have always admired and emulated such a youthful, useful team. It is true that such a cabinet of youngsters will always remain the envy of the neighbors. So, the next leadership would be lucky to continue dispensing their useful energies.
Do not forget to stand behind Gen. Mangar Buong Aluenge. He has been very cordial with you. He visited you a few times at your coordination office in Juba that is standing with a brother in unshakable solidarity. Finally, I am wishing success in your endeavours.
To the incoming governor, welcome to Yirol. Take charge of your people. As a man known for integrity and valor, it is a sure deal that Yirol will be in safe hands. Congratulations.
