CEPO: SMOOTHLY DELIBERATIONS ON REVITALISED ARCSS IMPLEMENTATION MATRIX

Sunday, September 2, 2018 (PW) — Today in Sudan the conflicting parties of South Sudan are smoothly deliberating on the implementation matrix of the revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan through formed three committees.

The three committees are committee I: Review of draft implementation matrices for Chapters I, III & V, committee II: Review of draft implementation matrices for Chapters IV, VI, VII and VIII and committee III: Review of draft implementation matrices for Chapter II.

Community Empowerment for Progress Organization appreciates the spirit demonstrated by the conflicting parties in the committees’ deliberations. It is clear demonstration of taking responsibility for making peace prevail in South Sudan.

Mr. Edmund Yakani, Executive Director of CEPO said the sense of commitment for making peace happen in South Sudan is clear demonstrated by the conflicting parties of South Sudan. The citizens should be hopeful for attainment of peace and stability soon as per the current on-going deliberations among the warring parties in the committees for revitalizing ARCSS implementation matrix.

The demand for Peace and Stability in South Sudan is urgent matter of the citizens that requires the warring parties to urgently reach consensus on the implementation matrix of revitalized ARCSS. Avoiding delay in making revitalized ARCSS implementation matrix initial within this week is paramount. Mr. Yakani stressed

Finally, CEPO will be launching dissemination of the revitalized ARCSS next week across the country.
