Letter of Appreciation to Governor Philip Aguer Panyang of Jonglei state

Saturday, October 13, 2018 (PW) — I raise a standing ovation to the governor of Jonglei state H.E Philip Aguer Panyang for his daily commitments to make jonglei state a haven of peace, unity and prosperity. Mr. Governor, your efforts and commitments to make our state better is recognizable. Meanwhile, the question of who is a good leader has been a bone of contention in the literate world. This is because of the diverse opinions of the civil population towards their various leaders.
As for me, a leader who is positive minded and stands for the solidarity of his people is the best. A leader who wears the shoes of his people at all times regardless of the situation always touches my conscience. A leader who has a vision to serve his people in the right manner always calls for my attention. These are my personal opinions about my governor and I am proud of him. I realized that the best motivation and support, which I can offer to Mr. Governor, is just to appreciate him more sincerely for he always stay on the forefront to unify our people. I felt I should say thank you governor now so that you do better tomorrow.
In the recent past we have got few individuals who decided to drop their manners and crave to disintegrate our prodigious society for the short terms gains. In my opinion these gentlemen and women who sought education in foreign countries and felt the urge to use it to break our ties, solidarity and communalism did not get it right. It was a purgatory move and it should be condemn with all the strongest terms possible. The soar of dirty songs and speeches towards the wrong age bracket was disgusting too .Our culture has got very strong protection for the aged. It was therefore indiscipline for a young man or a lady to come out clearly in derogatory language towards those whom we are supposed to get blessings from.
I am happy and it is part of my appreciation to you and your leadership today that you were not shaken. I also beseech your leadership your Excellency that you may continue being allergic to such unsocial and malicious makings of a few demi demons who are enemies of development and moving forward together. We are strategically placed watching and learning how to tackle them too in full support of the unity of the entire state.
In addition, the tour that you took to abroad is within the rare qualities of a good leader. The kind of communication and the interaction, which you encouraged by showing up for presentations, was the right thing to do given your capacity. I am aware that those who were under your voice fairly benefitted from your powerful speeches during the time you were with them. Those who didn’t attend like me also got links of all your plans for our people in the near future. Your priorities to invest heavily in agriculture in our state are very fundamental and are welcomed. Bany Governor, ‘acin ke gak ke kueny wun ciok’.
This is economic prosperity together with the road construction, which I gasped so clearly from your speech. As students from Jonglei state who are in Kenya, we have no objection to these best plans for our people whatsoever. Our only prayer is that you keep your words and promises. As I finalized Mr.Governor,I am happy that your plans to invest in agriculture has come at a times when our sons and daughters of Jonglei state are at least acquaint with some of the skills you may require in production process. We have agricultural experts whom I am sure can do wonderful job for our people. Please do not forget them. We also have economists who can guide on the best utilization mechanisms of our scarce resources. I mean we have all the diverse skills that you may need to sail through your development agendas. Thank you once again and may God bless you. Remember to do the same, which you did in USA to your sons and daughters in East Africa too.
