Friday, April 12, 2019 (PW) — If you have been thinking just like my self that ballots and bullets are the enough fences which any flood, wind and eddy can not float over or blow away then you are wrong. Bread is.

Who would believe that Omar Bashir will ever quit power quietly like that? The man who has been surrounding himself with tanks, artilleries, Antonov, helicopters, grenades, mines, stones and bombs – it is hard to believe but it is real, Field Marshal, Gen. Dr. Omar Ahmed Hassan El-Bashir is gone for real, never to return in his true image! It is hard now trying to know and cram the name of the incumbent president, Gen. Awet Amet-something…..

The simple armless bread with out claws and teeth has made the most General in the land scrawl out of his chair to prison on Thursday when the “peoples’ power” inspired by the BREAD stormed and pushed out the “people with power” sending shivers across the borders of the Sudan.

Democratic demonstrations yielded nothing for the last 30 years but the voices and marching of angry hungry Sudanese became the password recently found to scare him more.

‘the rats should go back to the holes’, was what he said in January when he removed the governors with the military mindset that he would scare them but at last, only one big rat, Omar, has gone to its hole

In the 17th century, Mary Antoinette, wife of France King Louis XI said a closer statement to the bread demonstrators outside the palace, ‘if you can’t afford bread then buy cake’. Cake was 10 times expensive than bread only meant for the middle class. This statement only bolstered them to kept on demonstrating until the revolution that removed her husband

When Gen. Bashir repeated the same, calling them rats that must scrawl back to their holes, the MASS couldn’t hold back until the final bread’s bullet to the GENERAL’s head.

Human right watch is now giving the former president sleepless nights that he (Omar) should be sent to Hague.

Now, the lesson learned is, you can be who you are today with whatever power and influence but if you don’t think twice like, Mugabe, Yahya Jammeh, Blaisse Compaore, Francoise Bozizze, Mohamed Morsi, Ben Alli, Hosni Mubarak, Gbagbo, Khadhafi, Mugabe and Omar you will obviously follow the aforementioned former presidents.
