We, the undersigned leaders of Jieng Community Association of Calgary, are very saddened and shocked beyond words on learning of the sudden passing of our dear father, uncle, friend and revered public servant Hon. Martin Majut.
Hon. Martin is fondly remembered in our community having resided in Calgary until he was asked by H.E. President Salva Kiir to return to Southern Sudan following the formation of Government of Southern Sudan in 2005.
Jieng community and the entire South Sudanese populace grief with the people of Warrap State, Gogrial Community, Wut Apuk-Giir and most importantly the immediate family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
Hon. Martin lived a life that brought honour and respect to you and for that, we thank you for it.
To the immediate family of Hon. Martin, some of whom still in live in this province, mourning loss of a beloved one in this extraordinary times of Covid 19 Pandemic can be particularly lonely and difficult to the family.
We therefore wish to assure you that you shall always be in our prayers even if we cannot be physically present to console with you.
And to our dear departed leader; may the lord keep you in eternal peace.
