Wednesday, July 29, 2020 (PW) — In actual sense truth must be said because even in the Bible it is written there that say the truth and truth will set you free, and so without fear or favor I must speak with a loud voice that Victor Atem Atem the then Governor of Gogrial State has brought peace and total stability in defunct Gogrial State.
He has tried a lots of homegrown solutions like Ajiep Peace Initiate Conference which was attended by the vice President H.E Cdre Dr. James Wani Igga. Where he Dr. James said that he needs peaceful coexistence among the pastoralists communities of Aguok, Apuk, Kuac and Awan to stay in peace and harmony and they must embrace and accept each other as one people in one state.
Hon. Victor Atem Atem since that day has promised to work and to see a total stability and peace in defunct Gogrial State, yes indeed he has worked on his promise, just like if you may come to defunct Gogrial State now you will definitely find the citizens of aforementioned state, living together, sharing common things together and embracing each other in peace, and harmony. I mean he has brought freedom of movement among the civilians which was not there before.
Hon. Victor Atem is a gift to the people of Gogrial State and South Sudan because it is very rare to find such a leader in the community. His leadership style is just like that of Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Hamed and Paul Kaguma of Rwanda. And he is just exactly like President H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, the man who brought the independence of South Sudan and made south Sudan to have a place on the world map.
Victor Atem deserves a rightful credit because of his selfless leadership, he is worth recommending, i think any citizen or intellectual would not hesitate to recommend him in any portfolio either in the state or national government.
That is why to me, I did say many times that Victor Atem will be our next Governor of Warrap State because I know he will extend the stability of Gogrial to other parts of Warrap State like Tonj and Twic respectively.
We want peaceful Warrap State and the only man who will do it, is Victor Atem Atem, personally am impressed by the leadership style of Victor Atem, why? Because of the two main reason, one is to be in stability and the second is to get inspiration from him as a young person.
His political career tells everything about him just like he has served as the longest Commissioner of Gogrial East and he has worked on unity of our people there, and later he was appointed the Minister of Local Government and Laws Enforcement Agencies, Minister of Education and Instructions of Warrap State and till we got to Gogrial State by presidential order number 36 2015 A.D where he serves as the Minister of Education, Security Advisor and a longest serving Governor in the history of Gogrial state.
It is for the first time now for Victor Atem to be staying at home without any responsibility given to him by both national or local governments since the beginning of his political career back then in 2008, I mean he had never spent something like three months at home like what has happened now, but that is not his issue, it is a national government issue which is a general or national problem.
It is very wrong for some Analysts who says that the stability in Gogrial State must be dedicated to the State of Emergency declared by the President of Republic and can not be attributed to Victor Atem’s leadership role. This is a misinformation, Victor Atem is the father of stability in defunct Gogrial State.
This needs to be made very clear. Because the state of emergency can not implement itself alone just like it did not work in other states in south Sudan. Why did it work in Gogrial? It is because of the vigorous roles played by Victor Atem. He deserves my credit for that matter.
I will always wish him all the best in his life and God will always bless him for Warrap State and South Sudan. Victor Atem Atem is the father of Stability in defunct Gogrial state.
