Dear TEYA members,

1. TEYA executives and Payam leaders met on July 6, 2022, to review findings and recommendations from the GBYA consultation report adopted by GA on June 5, 2022.

2. The meeting agreed to officially communicate TEYA’s position to GBYA leadership.

3. The meeting adopted a position in the report: “TEYA sees no relevance of the GBYA after the mandate of the current leadership ends.”

4. TEYA fully remains supportive of GBYA till the mandate of the current leadership ends.

5. TEYA is fully committed to engaging with our sisterly associations of DCYA and BCYA, including GBYA, for the remaining period of its tenure for the shared interest and aspirations of our communities of Dinka in Jonglei state and Jonglei state as a whole.

6. TEYA members, we accomplish great things together.

Best Regards,

Dhieu Williams, TEYA Secretary of Information
