Mr. Elija Malok said the president should use his authority to appoint people to public offices based on their performance record. The former governor made the assertion on Sunday in Nairobi at the Saint Luke’s Anglican Church in a chat with the press.
Criticizing those who said his removal and subsequent reassignment by the President was based on tribal affiliation, Malok said the removal and rotation of ministers and government officials provides a platform to enhance performance.
President Kiir relieved Elija Malok from his position as governor of Central Bank last week.
