Jan 20, 2012: A new report from the ground confirms that the death toll has increased to 83 people in Duk Padiet payam of Duk County in Jonglei State after the attack by alleged Murle armed youth and deserted military persons on Monday.
Jan 18, 2012: Suspected Murle youths attacked the Wich-Deng village (Nuer) killing 13 people and raiding 4,000 herds of cattle.
Jan 17, 2012: Armed Murle gunmen stormed the village of Duk Padiet in northern Jonglei late Monday, killing at least 51 Dinka people, with most of those killed “women, children and the elderly” in the latest ethnic clashes in South Sudan’s troubled Jonglei state, the region’s governor Manyang told AFP on Tuesday.

Jan 13, 2012: At least 55 are reported dead, 52 injured and 40 children abducted in Wek and Patuet payams [districts] following a retaliatory attack launched by youth of the Murle ethnic group against Lou-Nuer on Wednesday, according to local MP Moses Gatkuoth.
