Never Weep on my Tomb

2 min read

By Wenne Madyt Dengs

Never weep on my tomb

You laughed and weep at once

You had time that you weep tears of joy

I am the tears that you shed

The saliva that you swallow

Never weep on my tomb

I have not seen the reason I died

My children are dying of poverty

The nation is infested with deadly maladies

With embarrassing infrastructural structure

I couldn’t breath!

Never weep on my tomb

You are rusty being

You can’t think about us

Those who gave up the ghost

I am seeing you moving

From one place to another

Looking for cure

And you don’t want to build!

Never weep on my tomb

You just cry cheering tears

Your mouth is open to engulf my riches

I made you to be who you are;

Though I perished

I deceased in white clothes

My offspring are floating on the street
