October 13, 2015 (SSB)  —   First of all we in Melbourne Victoria Australia would like to register our support for the decision of creating the 28 new States in South Sudan as the best way to bring services closer to the Rural Communities who have been left out all this time from the dividends of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

As the decision has been widely received; although with exceptions only from wining voices of those with ill intentions about the success of South Sudan as a Nation and its prosperity and advancement of her people’s living standards- both foreign and local. The general approach to the decision locally is positive, which is the most important thing for the Government to do but not what outsider hawks want should be done in our Country.

With that said, so we here would like to give our applause to the President and his Cabinet; and to those in the Rebel Camps who also support this decentralisation decision. We also; would like to urge Dr. Riek Machar as a peace partner to the Government of South Sudan to support the decision and join in implementing it as one of South Sudanese Nationals and not to go to bed with those hostile to the progress of South Sudan as a Nation, only that way will the peace process hold; not to forget that he intended to divide South Sudan into 25 States.

The Government of South Sudan should only address the grievances of some Communities that may have complains in regards to the decree and make sure the technical committee settles them amicably.

Coming back to our point of Supporting Hon. Deng Dau de Malek as the new Governor and from Twic East as agreed by the State Citizens of Jonglei. Hon. Deng Dau is a man with a long resume of service well known to many South Sudanese; he is also a man with charismatic diplomacy towards all the citizens of Jonglei and South Sudan at large.

We have to admit that there is no clean man 100% and Jonglei citizens should test him with a larger assignment and unite as one people behind him so that the said new States do not proof a failure of the idea of our late Hero; Dr. John Garang De Mabior of taking towns to the people.

Dr. John might have done this long time ago should he be alive now; and rejecting what he noted down ridicules our collective thinking and utterances about his contribution to the struggle of the people of South Sudan.

This is a pure genuine advice to all South Sudanese including those who contradict themselves by always saying a different thing and doing the opposite with regards to the vision of John Garang; so stop blackmailing any people at this time (you those who fall in this category) and take up the challenge to rebuild the Nation.

For myself and my colleagues who have decided to support Deng Dau de Malek for the Governorship of Jonglei, we are sure that he will deliver, and if there where mistakes he made in his other positions in Juba; then he is well aware that it is time to correct things and move forward such that the Country is not thrown back again into the fires of hate, killings, corruption, nepotism, betrayal of the Sovereignty, tribalism and you name more.

Our people have to realise of course that no body stays forever in Power, Kiir Mayar will not stay forever; and for the People of Jonglei State even Deng Dau will not state forever he comes; in case there are staunch critics about his nomination.

As we approach the new dawn of peace, it’s paramount for the people of Jonglei to act as an example and unite behind one leader for the sake of peaceful coexistence within Jonglei and with our neighbours in South Sudan.

For those with different opinions about the nominated candidates, of course your points are well come since you may know the person you are supporting better than me and those who agreed with me. Your points are welcome. May peace reign in South Sudan this time around?

Long live South Sudan
