May 20, 2012 (BOR) – The Dachuek and Ayual ethnic groups of Wangulei were finally reunited by Rebecca Nyandeng who led the community peace initiative in the area, according to the Twic East county commission, Dau Akoi Jurkuch.

Ayual and their neighbouring clan, Dachuek, had a long-term land dispute that led to the killing of more than 20 men and left about 37 people with injuries, in fighting that broke out in Wuanglei on March 3.
The Nyadeng peace initiative has brought the two clans under the same umbrella, according to Akoi on Sunday.
