My Mother cries for the homeland
Sing my Mother-land sing, till our fallen martyrs wake in the joy of your ululations
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Father cries for freedom
Sing my Father-land sing; till the wounded start to feel vindication for all their sacrifices
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Sister cries for justice
Sing my Sister-land sing; till justice prevails in all corners of the republic
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Brother cries for transparency
Sing my Brother-land sing; till a bright light shines upon the system of the public
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Uncle cries for equality
Sing my Uncle-land sing; till a woman’s workplace is no longer confined in the kitchen
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Aunt cries for accountability
Sing my Aunt-land sing; till republic masters become true public servants
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Cousin cries for patriotism
Sing my Cousin-land sing; till we engrave the lyrics of our national anthem in our hearts
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Nephew cries for truth and reconciliation
Sing my Nephew-land sing; till we usher in a new era of oneness
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Neighbour cries for forgiveness
Sing my Neighbour-land sing; till we all receive dignity and mutual forgiveness
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My Friend cries for prosperity
Sing my Friend-land sing; till the orphaned and the widowed get their fair share of the cake
Sing loudly we should, but fight peacefully we must

My visitor cries for peace
Sing my Visitor-land sing; till the beloved Ross learns to find peace within its borders
