Two arrested in death of a South Sudanese man after altercation at liquor store

Two men were arrested today in the death of a man after an altercation at a liquor store near Twain Avenue and Swenson Street, Metro Police said. Genaro Padilla Jr., 30, and Kenneth Glosson, 56, both of Las Vegas, were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on counts of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, police said. Police received reports about 5:40 p.m. Monday of a person being beaten by two people in the 700 block of East Twain Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man, identified as Deng Kuany mabior (Deng Kosia Kuany Mabior from Awulian, Twic East County, Jonglei State), 30, on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds and blunt force trauma, police said. The victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he later died.
