"We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing" By Konstantin Josef Jireček, a Czech historian, diplomat and slavist.
Oil or crude oil is as old as time. It can be traced back to two tribes of ancient plants and animals– Algae and Zooplankton. Contrary to popular belief, oil is neither African nor Arab; white or black; or formed from the blood of those who died during the struggle for our independence; or even thicker than blood. Oil is what it is. Crude!
Oil is to modern civilization what water is to life. If you are reading this from a computer, then you might have already smelled it. Anything plastic and electric on your computer, those eyeglasses you are wearing; your shoes, your clothes (and their buttons) and even that bling on your ear, all have oil running through their veins.
Our lives are inextricably entwined with oil; and soil. Oil controls your soul as much as it does US.
