Immigration Is The All Time Phenomenon!
By DEng-ajith Duot
People choose to immigrate for a number of reasons. It does not mean they have fallen out of love with their current birthplace; they’re just looking out for better prospects and a chance of edifice a better life. There are four (4) dynamics to consider when choosing an immigration endpoint. These are things that I have to look at before making a final decision to migrate.
First of all, is a direct financial benefit, though most immigration decisions are taken with long-term goals in mind, sometimes the short-term financial benefits of immigration can be just as appealing. If you plan to immigrate to a country whose local currency is much weaker than yours, you will find that you are all of a sudden worth a lot more than previously thought. The gap between the economies of two states can easily be used as a foothold for refining finances. Equally, if you plan to immigrate to a much more developed state, you may find yourself belligerent financially, at least for a little bit or period of time. On the other hand, any money you send back home to your family will ensure a much more comfortable lifestyle for yourselves.
Second reason for migration would be employment prospects. It always keeps possible employment prospects in mind before immigrating to a state. For example, if you are a doctor and you plan to immigrate to a more developed state that is seeking well-educated professionals, such as doctors, engineers, lawyers and much more professions. However, just because you qualify for immigration does not mean you qualify to get a job. For many professions, there are restrictions that have to be faced by immigrants. These restrictions are put in place to safeguard the local workforce, as well as to ensure that immigration regulations are not demoralized. Meanwhile, many immigrants often fall foul to these regulations and are unable to pursue a career of their prime. This does not mean if Abeck medley migrates to Kongor the will find employment rather seeking better life with peace of mind from the expression being committed by both Adhiok communal and remaining Abeck medley.
Following that quality of life is usually what every immigrant seeks. Everyone has a different version of what a better quality of life epitomizes. For a young couple just starting off as a family, better employment opportunities, health care and access to the basic amenities of life epitomize an improvement in quality of life. In this case, an increase in quality of life usually signifies a destination where their hard earned money is worth a lot more and can afford them luxuries that they could never afford in their own medley or state. In the end, quality of life ends up being a matter of perspective. I think Abeck is not seeing their quality of life in current location as being standard as the wish to be.
And finally, the Liberal and conservative society the type of society prevalent in a country heavily influences any decisions regarding immigration. It is not uncommon to find people belonging to religious minorities emigrating from a country to avoid persecution from a conservative society. At the same time, many religious people choose to immigrate to a more conservative society, since they feel that liberal society values go against their religious principles. Just like quality of life, it comes down to a matter of personal opinion and perspective. If you are planning to immigrate to a state because the society is perceived to be more conservative and liberal, always consult an immigration proficiency who can talk to you about local regulations and tolerance towards immigrants.
In the world today immigration or migration had or has been a longt time policy which is designed to suit the needs of any person or group of people who are in needs of migrating somewhere where they think the can meet their needs. These happen mainly if they would overcome the challenges they face in a more democratic society and well-being of their people. It does not matter geographically were they migrate to; well anyone like me would assumed that you can migrate anywhere everywhere around the world as long you or your clutch are willing to migrate. I said these few things in regard to an article posted on Facebook network ‘Abeck Community Remains The Next And Imminent Target For The Next Famous Duo This Time’ the author have explores many things in his article in respect to the recent breaking news of one medley of Abeck sub-clan within Twii East had made their mind to migrate to Kongor to be part of largest district. On the one hand, it shall be seen as an immigration push factors instead of the author suggestion as it is more organized by politicians who have deliver obliges to the people of Twii East for many years and continuous providing serve to the people South Sudan.
As an individual, I congregate the author for his deep concerned on roughly Abeck spited into two parts one which leftward after to bear the name of Abek and other which to be part of the oligomictic lake of Kongor. Immigration is part of natural cycle and it is palpable in multiplicity of ways that South Sudanese or Sudanese at large has proficient since the creation of the land call the Sudan. Our brothers and sisters of North Sudan were not there at the first place. But due to immigration they have migrated from the Arab in the Middle East to black Africans land in Sudan. They have now settled in the Sudan and dominate our politics and social and economic well-being. We just separate from them in less than three years ago. It happened after a long war on self-determination from the Arab Migrate. Sudanese are always in position to migrate like other universal migration we see and experienced. This is evidently because we have got our citizenship from United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and other party of the world. Immigration is a matter of situation, whenever yours think your clan members would enjoy the freedom they need therefore you can migrate.
For instance, many Sudanese years back had migrated from South Sudan to neighboring countries like Uganda and Kenya. There are now tribes call Acholi and Mundi Ugandan now likewise Acholi and Mundi South Sudanese. In the same way, Luo people many of them came from South Sudan. I gave these examples in order to help the author learn that immigration is the worldwide phenomenon. It did not start yesterday, today or tomorrow. It has been there even since as long it not harming the people who are migrating.
Generally, migration was always cause by this intense activity of cultural transformation and social construction. Yes there must be something behind the Abeck selection migrating away from their current status. It is now a time of freedom of expression and more democratic societies where you move as long you pay tax to the Government of South Sudan (GOSS). I support the ideas of migrating to a better place.
Since the author has declared a war of words full of accusation without accuracy of evidence that Duo of Padol or Kongor they have put their hands in the make-up Twii East disputes. Ideally a person like me would than question the author went on earth will the blamed game would than stop?
The blaming was used put on Late Manyok Aguer Deng, Late, Bul Deng Bul and Mark Atem Awuol, the current deputy chairman of SPLM-DC. During President Jaafar Nimeriry who came to power in the early 70s. After he made for his political tour in Greater Upper Nile under which he name Kongor to be the district forename. This was overwhelming accepted by the people of time and politics of days. Yet many Twii East residents have put much blame on Kongor politician. These Kongor politicians are being classified by Twii as people who brought about the name change. To me it was not the case at time; president was using his administrative powers to name any district in whatever name he considered to be the best name to bear.
Once again during Kongor and Adhiok epicenter community fighting this was unfolded by the two communities in the 80s. Some people have now placed it on Late. Arok Thon Arok as it was behindhand the war. Anyone will note or have notice Arok has done the best judgment no one could ever do so. Even Dr. Garang De Mabior himself would have not done it in way Arok handle that particular problems at time. This is evident went Late. Arok stood down all the head chiefs of both Kongor and Adhiok without backing up either two communities’ chiefs. To me it was fair justice and democracy principle being followed without sectarians support. Again some people are blaming him. If I could ask what approaches was missed by then, I have doubt the answers will be available.
Lastly Mr. Achuoth DengAcuoth has also been implicated by the author as having his hand in Twii problems. It appeared that every single problem in Twii has been or it is have been created by few individuals of exclusively two senior intellectuals of Twii currently. According to the author point of view he implicated the chairman of National Bureau of Statistics and a former Twii East commissioner Mr. Isaiah Chol Aruai Ajang and the current Minister of local Government in Jonglei State, which was one time a former commissioner of Twii East County. Mr. Diing Akol Diing. Both of them Mr. Ajang and Diing have given their complete capacity to serve the people of Twii and South Sudan at large. Now the author validated them as people who twisted these massive discrepancies in Twii East Communities. I wonder went we will go forward without these numeral blame and baseless amount of accusation. It is very extreme went our people seek to preserve their relatives instead of question any politician with respect rather than more on blaming. I might ask why we are not criticizing our elected members of parliament in Juba and Jonglei like Deng Dau Deng Malek and Deng Aguer Kuir. Mr. Deng Dau Deng who has goes away with public money of war Disabled, widows and Orphans. Leave alone those who have tried their best to put in place law and orders. During the time of respective leadership no war that has broken out likes the recent one in Twii East at time of Mr. Dau Akoi as a commissioner.
We need to invest in issue-based and problem-solving politics rather than pursuit of narrow sectarian interests. That way, instead of seeking ethnic and class gratification, politicians would be keen on creating institutions that can achieve the state’s social, political and economic aspirations. I agreed to anyone who is put his or her criticism on more developmental ideas. Migration within the clan and within the state is a normal thing. Anyone can migrate today as long he sees the benefits that would benefit his or her interests.
The author is 100 per cent in position to internalize this issued on medley basis rather than more of immigration standard.
It would appear that, Immigration is truly a helpful phenomenon in our state. Without it, we would not be the Twii we are today. We are all migrating and we shall be proud of it however, a certain amount of immigrant has been shown to positively affect our state’s economy. If you can migrate somewhere why not Ayiik-maluke is not migrating?
