Political wrangling have killed many lives and ruined civilians properties

Since this calamity happened, I have never took side like other analysts. However, what comes to my mine is the verity that who is ready to die again at this moment when we have achieved our independence from the oppressive and totalitarianism regime in Khartoum. Neither Nuer nor Dinka, who will allows his/her sons and daughters to dies because of opportunism and egoism of a single man. It’s very forlornly and discreditably seeing our brothers and sisters dying while hundreds of thousands displaced from their respective homes. These innocent civilians are the ones impinge by this senseless war while politicians have concealed their families and children abroad.
To start with, what occurred in our infant nation is something that do not astonish me and other political and social thinkers. Since the country is been rule by decrees and constitution is not followed. Predictably, many political and social thinkers knew that such political dilemma would happen given the signals of Juba politics. It’s very obvious to diagnose a disease before it becomes chronic. So what happened in our country is that the baby had became very ill because no one paid attention to her.
President Kiir’s made substantial mistakes and government officials including advisors failed to notify president when he was astray because people are fear of losing their jobs. Sadly, president is the mere one man who craves to plays and refrain other people to play especially when they play better than him. Therefore, one man refused to danced president tone and result dragged the entire country into civil war. Unfortunately, the fact of lacking expertise players have resulted in losing the game which brought chaos to the nation.
Dr Riek’s and his political affiliates have fail to stage a “coup” but lack of political proficiency have aftermath carnage to many lives and displacement of hundreds of thousands innocent civilians. Those innocent people in Bor, Bentiu and Malakal have work stiffly to initiate businesses to enhance their families’ lives without government aid and support. But, all their properties are been ruined and some of them lost loved ones due to lack of political strategists by Macharists. The luckiest ones are once who sought refuge in United Nations camps, as the conflict is unending. Dr Riek Machar and his allies or political elites have instigated this conflict and urge his tribesmen to slay Dinka in any corner of this country if applicable and funny thing ever he claims to be a democratic leader.
This is utterly erroneous and it should be shun. In fact, this fight started as a political quarrel between Dr Riek’s and President Kiir, it should not be taken into tribal lens. President Kiir remains our president despite of what happened. We must support and protect the constitution of South Sudan. Dr Riek Machar’s is a man who believed in traditional dogma stated by ancient Nuer’s Prophet, that he would become a president but how? This is what people do not know how Dr Riek is going to become a president, either through violence or through ballot paper. This is merely about Dr Riek and his tribesmen knowledge of what Nyundeng Bong said upon Dr Riek future leadership.
Nevertheless, this prophecy by Nyundeng Bong had adheres into Dr Riek minds and various people in South Sudan particularly Nuer people. Dr Riek Machar has a ghastly political history that would not perhaps constitute him becoming a president of South Sudan. Apart from the ongoing fight, the past history has a hole in his back. However now, he repeated history of past by killing innocent people from both Nuer and Dinka and left President Kiir residential place, a man who he had a problem with. There is no sceptical, that Riek Machar’s has captivated the past gaffe by killing innocent people in Bor County and captured a strategic town of Bor, Jonglei State in the name of democracy.
I do not really comprehend what Dr Riek Machar means by “democracy, killing innocent people or people rule”. Now, he claims that what happened on the 15 December 2013 was not an attempted “coup”. If it was not an attempted “coup” then why would he ran away if he had no conspiracy schemed to overthrown an elected president. Dr Riek stated on 16 December 2013 through BBC News that “he will captured Juba tomorrow at 1 PM.” If Dr Riek was not involved in a “coup”, he would had stayed and be arrest like other political detainees who believe that they are innocent and have no political affiliation with what so called “coup attempt”. These political detainees would have died by now if Dr Riek Machar was dread of death.
Dr Riek had been exercising his democratic rights by urges public and deludes public that SPLM has lost visions and direction and president did not refrain him. In which many people were supporting reformation within the ruling party. However, at this juncture Dr Riek Machar has lost recognition because of masses killing under his leadership and for that reason I do not see his political future shining again like previous months prior to rebelling against government. If there was no “coup” as many Dr Riek fans believed it and called it “inside plan” to degrade and defeated Dr Riek politically then, why would he argued Nuer military officers to rebelled. Dr Riek has deceived many including Dr Majak Agot who have bright political future, have realised that what Dr Riek has done is not what they plotted and for now many of them are calling Dr Riek Machar and his Nuer forces to end cessation of hostilities.
Riek’s second uprising polarized greater Bor community
Dr Riek second uprising left many killed, damages and sadly it’s has turns our beloved Greater Bor Community against itself. Some elements from Twic East and Duk have been accused with evidences that they are behind coup plotters to overthrown Kiir regime. This conflict did not start just now; the accusation has been level against Twic East and Duk politicians since the president re-appointed national ministers. In which none of Twic East community member appointed national minister.
There are rumour that stated that “Bor people have affiliation with President Kiir and particular the current Minister of Defence and Minister of Information and Broadcasting not appointed any member from Twic East and Duk”, which I do not believe it’s happened. What people need to know is that, president Kiir was not appointing people based on their regions and tribes. He was appointing people based upon their individual merits and other took it as exclusive, began to gossip and initiate affiliation with Dr Riek Machar. Our people should not follow politicians because politicians are after their own interests and therefore innocent civilian should stay away from politics.
Now, Twic East community is being victimized because of Dr Majak D’Agot and Rebecca Nyandeng. But these are only two individual and it should not generalise the whole community if other party were wise. Bor people intend to forget that, Dr Riek forces are killing all South Sudanese including Twic East people. I acknowledge the facts that, the death of generals from Bor County are very pathetic and that cloud be used that Bor people are brave than Twic East and Duk people because none of generals’ fromTwic East and Duk have died. God has his own plan for everybody and people do not die at same day, their time will come.
Nevertheless, the so called “facebook politicians” from both communities started posting worthless comments that did not help but instigating more violence amongst communities. Each community accuses other community and ever calling other community rebels because Rebecca Nyandeng’s the wife of late Dr John Garang de Mabior and Dr Majak Agot’s who have been part of alleged “coup attempt” in which they acclaims that there was no “coup”.
In fact, people politicising it but they intend to forget that Nyandeng’s has her own political agenda for running as a president and people do not believe her because she is in same boat with Dr Riek Machar. Nyandeng is after political reform and neither Secretary General Pagan Amum has a political ambition as well. But people just generalising that they are supporting Dr Riek is not true. Politic is a difference business and civilians should distance themselves away from politicians.
As for now, those unemployed politicians have missed the money that they used to received in their offices during their terms. They are hungry and they are looking for positions and what comes to their minds is whoever will come as president would employ them. So they were assuming that Dr Riek Machar would win and that is why they became allied.
