Enemies Of Peace May Not Achieved Any Goals In Escalation Of Violent In South Sudan

By Achiek Jok Riaak

The South Sudanese enemies of peace are in wrong directions, no fabrication of failed coup attempt reported in the country again. I wanted to assure public that the coup being disseminated on the internet or on print media, radios and Televisions is connected to 12 December coup attempt carried out by renegade Riek Machar and his loyalties in Juba, a capital city of South Sudan.

Regarding current crisis, we need to speaks the truth and truth will move as ahead, what was reported to the world is not too far from the false and truth, please dear we need to put aside all issues to international community to work into so that they find out who is a causative of current rebellion amicably.

There are so many evidences that indicated December 15th crisis as a coup attempt due to some steps taken by the security forces in Juba on Monday, a day after fighting erupted on Sunday night.

Went Machar’s political members move out of SPLM national meeting in Juba on 13 December, what did they decided, did they decided to contest for South Sudanese general election or declared the violent? On Sunday evening after all the SPLM carders dispatched, unknown criminal fired on air, was that Kiir’s supporters?

Listen Machar is not a man of peace to South Sudanese, in 1991 coup attempt there was no foreign troop involvement that defeats Nasir militants in greater Bor region but SPLA led by Dr. John Garang de Mabior managed to clear out Machar forces in Nuer home land.

Present of foreign troops has nothing to do with support of SPLA forces within the country, the Ugandan army (UDF) mission is to monitor the movement of Lord Resistance Army (LRA) which is due to cross from Western Equatoria to Eastern Equatoria such that they have access to move easily to Uganda for attacks.

We the community of Dinka especially we in greater Bor communities have not yet know the logic behind Nuer initiatives of fighting South Sudanese ethnic community of Dinka since the times of Sudanese long civil war, they should fought government of republic and not local citizens who has no connections with leadership in Juba.

Aloponi, Machar’s Community was not happy with South Sudanese idea of struggling for freedom of expression, [the current freedom that we have achieved today] for so many years, since 1990s, Nuer youths were engaged in fighting Bor ethnic community to weaken SPLM/A movement, a planning made by Sudanese Government to divided South Sudanese communities into tribal lines. [Refer to Sudanese government planning of divided South Sudanese communities in war times, the information will latter follow]

Mr. Aloponi by then all the Internal Displaced peoples [IDPs] praise lord [God almighty] to offered them everlasting freedom, and none-of Dinka men from Bor homeland putted issues of Nuer into their agenda. The Dinka was dreaming that all-in-all everything will end if Garang movement achieved peace and not knowing that Nuer will be hostile to South Sudanese people.

Who was Riek Machar in our minds, but slowly-slowly we came to forgives him after resuming SPLM/A in 2002 and indeed he struggle for peace till Compressive Peace Agreement (CPA) was achieved in 2005. But still he was not happy with present of Wani Igga position to be ahead of him in SPLM/A leadership.

It seems that you people [Nuer] and those who are enemies of peace are escalating violent in South Sudan which is not good which is harmful to South Sudanese citizens who suffered for so many years in jangles of South Sudan.

Nuer ethnic communities are in three states of greater Upper Nile Region and Dinka communities are there too. The Bor Dinka has four counties and Nuer has four and haft counties, in Malakal Nuer has four, Dinka four and in Unity state, Nuer has seven and Dinka two, meanwhile majority of Dinka population are residents of Greater Bahr el Gazzal states.

I wanted to assure the readers that we are citizens of three religions in South Sudan; Christianity, Islamic and traditional religions. The so called “segregation” in the county may not help us out in achieving goals of independence.

Being Christian or Muslim shows that you believe in one God meaning that being South Sudanese too shows your belonging to one nation. The naming of tribes was meant to differentiate societies from other societies, and that is why a society living in a particular location is being given name according to African traditional heritages.

The religion is like a country name’s which become a combination of so many societies, so I see both Nuer and Dinka communities as one people of one nation called, “South Sudan.”

During the Sudanese civil war, not all tribes were participating in the liberation struggle and not everybody was involved in fighting, just some few men were impressed to liberate South Sudanese citizens so that south achieved self-reliance from people of Sudan government.

South Sudan needs peaceful co-existences of solving peace among it’s communities before times so that all the enemies of peace are cut-off from escalation a tribal violent in the country.

In Bor alone nearly to 6,000 vulnerable people are reported killed by White army and more than 200,000 deserted their home areas, Also unknown number of White army have been killed too in their attacks planned by Machar.

Following the massive devastation in Bor, state government has no clear number of casualties in the town but as of general cleaning and ongoing assessment in Bor, the clear report of both damages and death casualties will soon be compile.

Meanwhile, during the short visited in Bor, the members of parliament representing greater Bor in South Sudan, Deng Dau national government assure media that more than 2,500 died in Bor devastation following a town overrun by anti-government forces in last month. Other sources said figure might be more than 6,000 people who lost their lives from Bor apart from Nuer youths.

Kiir was not involved in mobilizing youth to kills vulnerable people. The death of white army and vulnerable Dinkas will be investigated and whoever concerned will be brought to books.
