Letter to the Editor
Kiir’S Doomed Supporters
By Michael Aloponi
Sir Mr. Editor,
You must be reminded that you are at wrong side of history in the wake of Kiir’s miscalculated fabrication of “failed Coup”. You can write and write but fact is, Mr. editor, that South Sudanese and the world at large are convinced beyond doubt that there was no coup in Juba on 12/15/2013. The world and South Sudanese will NOT be swayed by you and your KIIR’s Govt in Juba into “buying-in ‘ to his version of events in Juba on 12/15/13.
You must be reminded also that in information era today you cannot ever lie to the world. The world was and is in Juba before and after the events in Juba on 12/15/13; they were and are following up the political developments in South Sudan:
1. Recruited of15,000 presidential Elites from Northern Bhar eL Ghazal and Waarab States, ignoring the national diversity
2. Undemocratically dismantled the SPLM structures
3. On Friday,12/13/2013 delivered a belligerent speech, calling Riek a doomed prophet. This utterance disappointed the clergy men most South Sudanese, who opened the meeting with reconcialatory prayers at the opening of NLC meeting in Juba; he promised to use all national resources to keep the peace of South Sudan.Hence, he was poised to deliver his plan on 12/15/2013
4. On 12/15/2013 he executed his failed plan to fabricate a story of a “Failed Coup”; thinking that the World would receive and belief it; no MR. Editor; it was a total failure plan on Kiir’s part and those who are part of the architecture . Using his untrained Waarab presidential guards to disarm the Nuer section of the presidential guards; things didn’t go well as planned; triggering a fierce fight that they regretted later.
5. On 12/16/2013, after declaring a curfew, the Waarab boys supported by elements of Dinka soldiers went into action; from house to house dragging and shooting any Nuer they could find; during the day cars were stopped, people of Nuer ethnic men were pulled out taken to unknown place and never seen again; the estimate was put at 5,000 lives of innocent Nuer massacred in Juba alone; prompting the Governor of Central Equatoria to issue a statement for this practices to end; KIIR is yet to tell the South Sudanese people why he did it.
Riek is now held as a hero, he and his group members challenged Kiir’s agenda; if he has been quiet like the rest of the other political elites and Civil right activists, Kiir would have established a Dinka Dynasty; where he would rule with an iron fist in which no one can question it.With his wisdon to challenge Kiir’s tendency to establish long grip to power; Riek has enabled the following to happen after 12/15/13 events:
1. Creation of inclusive National Constitution is posible now; removing excessive powers of the president embedded in Kiir’s Constitution, seen as the cause of the current violence.
2. The Govt of Kiir will be dissolved; leaving way for establishment of a autocratic Transitional Govt mandated to structure the the security and civil service; leading to pure, free and democratic elections, free of Kiir’s Long term stay in power agenda.
3. The end of the Dinka Hegemony; the doomed Prophet has turned into hero and his forces would have entered Juba if Kiir didnot invite the foreign troops to his aid.
4. Once one Nuer guy told us that one Nuer man can fight 200 Dinka armed men. In this violence, this theory has been proven on all the battles fought between Kiir’s Forces and the forces of the opposition.
5. The civil service will be determined by education and experience and not by uneducated carders that stand in the way of development of South Sudan for the last 9 years under Kiir governments
6. The end to uncontrollable Curruption and nepotism rampant in Kiir’s reign
