Letter to Kur Garang Deng: Your History of the Unsung Heroes is very Biased Toward Greater Bahr el Ghazal

By Awei Ngok,

Kur Garang, you are very biased. It is a big shame that you failed to even mention a single Bahr el Ghazal warrior who were exactly the ones who liberated this country while Greater Upper Nile region was busy rebelling back and forth. Is that deniable?

Most you are still rebels to date. The current mess involving Dr. Riek and his followers was incited by Bors because of their selfish and biaseness in everything they do. Riek got confused and this is why we are suffering like this now.

One of the leading suporters for Riek in 2013 where from former Greater Upper Nile. Majak D’Agot, and Nyandeng and her son were the ring leaders followed by big bellied former detainees as they named themselves that way now.

The first victim was from Majak’s family when Gatdet rebelled in Bor and launched his revenge killing activity, that general killed in a mess room was a blow to all of us. He died innocently and those of Majak remained when actually they were they caused.

So when I look and think over this post, it is an insult on Greater Bahr el Ghazal. Bahr el Ghazal region is again bearing the brunt of Riek’s rebellion more than any other region in South Sudan.

They are the ones dying in front lines defending you people. The White Army would be in Bor up to today if Mathiang Anyoor did not go and flashed them out and pursued them to Nuerland to date.

A coward should not keeping creating more mistrust among the people. The list you shared here is very controversial given the fact that most of them are rebels now in disguise like Gier Chuang ALuong..and so forth.
